2. Exclamatory Sentences and Clauses of Result
We use exclamatory sentences to give emphasis to the meaning of the adjective
/adverb or noun.
Example:
How nice!
What a strange story!
This book is so boring!
This is such an awful situation!
Formation:
How/ so + adjective / adverb
What / such + (a/an) + (adjective) + noun
3. Clauses of result
To express result we use:
Example:
He was so bored (that) he left before the end of the lecture
Example:
It was such a boring lecture that he left before it ended
So + adjective / adverb + (that)
Such + (a/an) + (adjective) + noun + (that)
