In the first quarter, the global average connection speed increased 1.8% to 3.9 Mbps, while the global peak connection speed decreased
8.6% to 21.2 Mbps. In the Americas, the United States had the highest average connection speed at 10.5 Mbps, while Bolivia had the lowest at
0.9 Mbps. Uruguay had the highest peak speed at 45.4 Mbps, while Venezuela had the lowest at 7.9 Mbps.

In the first quarter, the global average connection speed increased 1.8% to 3.9 Mbps, while the global peak connection speed decreased
8.6% to 21.2 Mbps. With a 5.8% quarter-over-quarter increase, Switzerland regained its top slot among the surveyed countries in the EMEA
region, reaching an average connection speed of 12.7 Mbps. Israel and Romania remained the only two surveyed EMEA countries with average
peak connection speeds above 50 Mbps in the first quarter, while South Africa had the lowest peak connection speed at 10 Mbps.
