5. What’s Artificial Intelligence?
@marcelhaasIO|#SPS_London
+
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.
These processes include learning (the acquisition of information and rules for using the information), reasoning
(using rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions) and self-correction.
AI in visualization is often related to robots, but actually it’s mostly open source software and algorithms.
According to Arend Hintze, AI can be categorized in different types:
Type 1: Reactive
machines
(Chess / Watson)
Type 2: Limited memor
()
Type 3: Theory of mind Type 4: Self-awareness
8. What’s NOT AI?
@marcelhaasIO|#SPS_London
+
AI is not taking over the world or humanity yet, but we need to watch and guide it’s potential.
Marketing used the term “AI” often wrong. Look let’s look at some examples to understand the difference:
Machine LearningSimple SW Logic User Reality
9. Cognitive computing systems use
computerized models to simulate the
human cognition process to find solutions
in complex situations where the answers
may be ambiguous and uncertain.
While the term cognitive computing is
often used interchangeably with artificial
intelligence (AI), the phrase is closely
associated with IBM's cognitive computer
system, Watson.

15. Automated ML democratizes the machine
learning model development process, and
empowers its users, no matter their data
science expertise, to identify an end-to-end
machine learning pipeline for any problem.
With automated machine learning, you'll
accelerate the time it takes to get production-
ready ML models with great ease and efficiency.
80% of a data scientists job is to do data
classification, preparation and infeed. Let’s help
them, so they can focus on their core skills.

16. AI and Cognitive Computing can do some magic,
but we are at an early stage of broader adoption
and systems need more data to become more
accurante.
What most of us already do is somehow inputing
data input algorithms. With our digital signals,
behaviour and traces, we are all part of a
machine teaching team.

...and now we need to
help them to make the
models more
accurate??! Seriously?
