1. Result recorder app for
windows phone

2. ABSTRACT
The whole process of carrying all
the mark sheets and the related
documents to different places
creates havoc.
The ‘Result recorder app’ is the
solution. It caters to everyone’s
needs as it can save data as
percentage as well as CGPA.

3. OBJECTIVE
Option to record result class wise.
User can E-mail/SMS the records directly from the app.
It protects data by password functionality.
Forgot Password option is there and an E-mail containing password
will be sent to stored email ID of the user.
Calculated percentage/CGPA will be shown class wise at the result
page.
Edit option of result is provided.
App follows Microsoft user interface guidelines.
Beautiful interface.

SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENTS

5. Hardware:-
System to develop app with minimum
configuration of 2 GB RAM and dual core
processor (required to install Visual Studio)
Hardware required for testing:-
Windows phone 7 or windows phone 8.
Windows phone emulator.

Development Tools: -
Visual Studio.
Windows Azure Space.
Silverlight toolkit for windows phone 7.

8. App Pages-
Result Recorder app has
clean and user friendly
user interface, it follows
most the windows phone
design guidelines.
The app bar is used for
extra controls like contact
us button. The button
directly launches the Mail
application.

9. The data of user is
protected from
everyone accessing
the phone by
Password functionality
of the phone. User can
turn On/Off the
password by going to
setting page of the
application.

10. Password recovery option
App feature the functionality of
password recovery on the stored email
by the user.
After submitting the wrong password
the app ask user if he want to get the
password on the stored email id ?
After clicking yes the user get an
email to his stored email id address
mentioning the password of the app.
Technology used for “Recover the
password” functionality –
SMTP class exposed for ASP.NET
websites.

11. Store Page
After clicking on “Enter Result”
user is navigate to this page
where he can enter his marks
according to his result type –
Percentage/CGPA
Before putting marks user
need to click on radio button of
the type of his result. After
clicking on radio button the
menu appears.

12. If user selects CGPA type
the credit and Grade fields
appears.
The input restrictions on this
page are –
Grade values – A,-A,B,-
B,C,-C,D,E,F,I

13. Percentage option gives the
user to enter maximum marks
and marks obtained.

14. As mentioned above the
app will show an error if
any input validation
validates while saving data.

classes stored by the user.
On clicking any of the class,
app navigate to detail view
of the particular class.
This Page shows the
aggregate
percentage/CGPA of the
particular class also.

Delete the result

18. Exporting the result on
single click of button –
The app provides the
functionality of exporting
the results on the single
click of the button.
User can send the
result through Email or
SMS through one tap of
the button.

silver light toolkit is used
know as Toggle button

This page allows user to
set a numeric password
and ask the email id of the
user on which password
recovery mail can be sent.
Password conditions-
Minimum length is 4.
Can be only Numeric.
App stores the password
in the local memory of the
app, therefore no internet
connection is required
while storing the password
and email id of the user.
