Find competitors and other brands similar to yours. When you do this, use the Follow Mate app and look at who is following these competitors. These are your perfect audience and you need to connect with as many of them as possible. One of the easiest ways to get good at marketing, is to just model what the pros are doing. Don’t just copy them make it original to your brand.
Visual Storytelling is here to stay. And the businesses that know how to do this right are the ones that succeed online.
Also a fun fact, if you include REAL human faces they receive 38% more likes on average, and 32% more comments.
How are you different from your competitors?
Walking tours of the mall.
Playgrounds, hotel, amazing unique restaurants, imax movie theater, babysitting services, etc.
Midtown village developed a campaign where consumers had to
take a picture of themselves in front of their favorite store to earn a
$500 shopping spree. Hashtag the mall. The campaign helped build a loyal
Midtown Village fan base both online and offline, as well as help give tenants the recognition they deserved.
The picture with the most people in it would win the grand prize. Or the most likes.
Always tag your location. Photos receive 79% more engagement. This allows your customers to find you and your products to buy.
If someone clicks your location, it opens up to a map, you can see everyone that has tagged their photos, they can see a map of where it is, how long away it is, you can also see all the photos of people who tagged themselves at your business. People searching can get a feel of what your business is like.
For example if you’re a restaurant, this is HUGE for foot traffic. When they click on your location, they can see all the photos of your food, the atmosphere, the people, and they can get an idea if that’s the kind of place they would want to go.
Here are 7 ways to get more fans and reach your target market
Competitor research, to engage, and to find more fans!! Best practice is to use X hashtags.
Use hashtags. The magic is in the hashtags. It will take a little while to figure out which ones work best for attracting your ideal followers but you’ll never know until you start playing around with them. Use a variety of popular hashtags and very specific hashtags. The goal is to use hashtags that your potential customers are already browsing. Look at some of the hashtags your competitors are using as well as ones your followers are using. There’s a good chance those are effective. You can use up to 30 on each post but it’s best to stick with 6-12 at a time. You’ll also want to choose at least one hashtag that is unique to your business. Start tagging your own pictures with it and promote it in your bio. This creates a hashtag hub. As your account grows your followers might share your content to their own accounts and use your unique hashtag.
Brainstorm relevant keywords and phrases that are relevant to your brand.
Research popular hashtags that people are using in your industry so you show up when people are searching.
Hashtags present a great opportunity to broaden the reach of your images.
Make a cheat sheet for hashtags. Make it easier on yourself by having a note saved on your smart phone containing your most popular, related hashtags that get a lot of interaction. Then just copy them and paste them in your picture descriptions instead of typing them every time.
To mention someone, type @ followed immediately by their username (ex: "great photo, @shayne!")
