Cooking can be a great way to unwind after a long day. It can also be a fun family activity. We put together a few simple meals that put the yum in yummy.
2. Creamy Chicken & Veggie Pasta
Ingredients: Chicken Breast, Frozen Veggies, Pasta
of your choice, Olive Oil, Parmesan, Cream, Garlic,
Italian seasoning
Directions: Add diced chicken breast & olive oil to
pan on low heat. Add minced garlic, Italian
seasonings & frozen veggies to chicken. Boil water
& cook pasta. Add cream & parmesan to chicken
mixture stir until creamy. Drain pasta when tender.
Add chicken, veggies & sauce to pasta. Serve
3. Ultimate BLTs
Ingredients: Ham or Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce,
Tomato, Choice of Jam, Munster cheese.
Directions: Heat ham or lunch meat on stove.
Cook bacon on stove top. Toast bread. Spread
jam on toast. Pile on lunch meat, cheese,
lettuce, tomato & bacon. Serve.
4. Homemade Veggie Pizza
Ingredients: Store bought pizzas dough.
Marinara or pesto. Mozzarella. Choice of
veggies. We suggest mushrooms, tomato, red
onion & artichoke hearts . Olive oil
Directions: Heat oven per pizza doughโs
instructions. Roll out dough. Brush olive oil on
dough. Spread marinara or pesto over dough.
Add cheese. Add toppings. Bake.
5. Chicken & Cilantro Rice
Ingredients: Chicken breast. Frozen Veggies. Garlic. Rice .
Bouillon. Cilantro. Garlic. Olive Oil.
Directions: Add diced chicken, minced garlic & frozen
veggies to a pan. Add rice to pan. Measure bouillon
according to packaging & add to rice. Add water to rice
according to packaging. Add 1 chopped cilantro bushel.
Once water in rice is simmering, set on low & cover. Set
timer according to serving size (roughly 15 to 18
minutes). Serve in bowl with rice on bottom covered in
chicken & veggies.
6. Pizza Sandwiches
Ingredients: Ciabatta rolls. Unsalted butter.
Marinara. Mozzarella. Pepperoni. Spinach.
Directions: Brush outside of roll with butter or
oil. Spread marinara on inside of roll. Pile on
mozzarella, pepperoni and spinach. Heat
sandwich on nonstick skillet under golden on
outside & cheese has melted.
