This unique rodeo will allow citizens and city employees to take a peak at the vehicles,
technology and people that keep Arlington running. Vehicles range from 20,000 pound trash
trucks and high-speed police cars to the TechLink vehicle from Arlington Public Library and
the Amphibian Unit from the Parks & Recreation Department.
“We want to get employees and citizens engaged with what’s going on in our community,”
One Start Development Center Manager Jason Reynolds said. “We want to show everyone how
each piece works.”
Aaron Nigel Smith will give a kid-friendly performance from 9:30-10:30 a.m., June 10, 2015 at
Levitt Pavilion. The City of Arlington encourages everyone to bring their children and come
sing along with Aaron’s island tunes that are sure to get everyone off their feet.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reynolds challenges all city employees, downtown business folks and
Arlington citizens to attend the Vehicle Rodeo and engage with the community.
“The Vehicle Rodeo is all about building Arlington’s brand and shaping our neighborhoods,”
Reynolds said.
The rodeo and concert will be held at Arlington’s Levitt Pavilion, an outdoor arena that hosts
more than 50 free concerts a year.
The “Vehicle Rodeo” is part of “In Our Shoes,” a series of events aimed to engage Arlington
City employees.
For questions or more information regarding the Vehicle Rodeo, call Jason Reynolds at (817)
459-6699.
