Letter of Recommendation for Mads Hermann
To whom it may concern:
As COO of LitePoint Corp, I am pleased to be a reference for Mads Hermann, who has been working here
as an intern for the past five months.
The goal for the internship was to identify strengths and weaknesses in the New Product Development
process at LitePoint Corp and to suggest improvements for those. I personally followed Mads very closely
and found his way of working to be well structured, logical and goal oriented with great overall success in
identifying key elements of weakness.
In my opinion, the following two elements made the project successful:
• After I introduced Mads to the issues we faced, as I and senior management saw them, and gave
him a brief introduction of where he could find more information, Mads approached his discovery
tasks very systematically and continued for the next three months to gather empirical material that
either supported, rejected or re-directed how LitePoint could improve its internal process of
innovation.
• The project period consisted of weekly meetings and close communication. Mads was always well
prepared, usually with a well thought-out PowerPoint presentation that clearly illustrated and
identified problems, results and the suggested direction needed to solve the problems at hand. His
suggested solutions were always based on cases of best practice, or latest theory, but they were
placed into context so that they could be used at LitePoint. This made me confident that his
suggestions could be realistically implemented.
I feel that the project was very successful and that Mads’s final report provided both thought-provoking
solutions as well as a tangible implementation plan that we have already started to implement to
strengthen and support LitePoint’s business strategy.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I found Mads to be extremely easy to work with and communicate
with. He has a very pleasant demeanor, he’s very sharp, is extremely persistent, and wants to win. These
are all qualities I value highly in coworkers. It was a pleasure working with him and I am confident that he
will add a great deal of value in whatever organization he chooses to work with next.
I recommend him highly!
