This document provides information on Built In Quality (BIQ) initiatives at Camso, including:
- The BIQ operating model, roadmap, criteria and journey to improve quality across design, manufacturing, warranty and returns.
- BIQ calibration criteria and requirements for product quality standards to ensure products meet requirements.
- Metrics and targets to improve BIQ levels from II to III to IV over time.
- Key milestones from 2016-2019 in implementing BIQ level II requirements and projects to further quality.
- Projects planned for 2019/2020 and beyond to advance to BIQ level III, including shopfloor campaigns, zero defect programs, advanced process development, and establishing quality systems.

BIQ 1
A documented process is in place to develop, approve
and revise the product quality standards.
Key Points: A documented process, which shows how
standards are developed and ensures that the latest
version of the standard is at the work station (includes
boundary samples). Describe how features that require
PQS are determined. Outline who, what, where, when,
and how PQS' are 1) developed, 2) confirmed, 3)
approved, 4) distributed, 5) revised.

Purpose: To provide cross functional groups with criteria for product evaluation.
Core Requirements:
Definition: Measurable requirements for product characteristics, which when satisfied, ensure our products meet internal/external customer requirements.
Level 4 Criteria:
Item or Subject
Clear evidence of how PQS are developed , confirmed , approved , distributed
and revised should available . At this level the cycle should be complete. Clear
evidence that all PQS are linked to CTQ, CTC, and customer contracts.
