attitude and skill learned from
education . This is what is
known as curriculum.
It is the content of
teaching and learning
activities planned for a
specific group of students in
order to achieve an objective .
10. DIMENSIONS OF EDUCATIONAL
PROCESS
• Procedural dimension .

way in which the Teacher
helps the Students to learn .
It deals with the techniques
and methods, the Teacher
uses to impart knowledge
and enhance the learner(s) ,
teacher and methods and
procedures of Teaching and
Learning .
11. DIMENSIONS OF EDUCATIONAL
PROCESS
• Environmental dimension .
It refers t the
environment where the
teaching –learning occurs .
It includes class room, labs,
hospitals etc and also
includes the climate
prevailing in that
environment .

17. PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING
• Principle of association =
Thorndike points out that
things which we want to do
together should be put
together. Many different
things should brought
together as a part of one
process.
• Principle of law of
readiness . = According to
Thorndike readiness is
preparation for life. The law
indicative of learners’ state
to participate in the learning
process .
18. PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING
• Principle of law of effect = It
states that a response is
strengthened, if it is followed by
pleasure and weakened if it is
followed by displeasure
.(Thorndike .).
• The law of Principle of exercise
or repetition =Thorndike .
Learning is better and concrete
when the concepts are repeated
often .
• Law of use and disuse =
Anything which is used ,
remembered and learned well than
which is not used or less used . The
learner tends to forget the concepts
skills whish is not used
19. PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING
• Principle of attitude = The learner
performs the task well if he/she has
his/her attitude set in the task .
• Principle of law of similarity = ie, The
stimuli that are more similar to one
another will have more tendency to be
grouped . This learning of similar
things is easier than learning dis-similar
things .
• Principle of law of proximity = As per
this law, Perceptual groups are favored
according the nearness of parts . This
means that we perceive all closely
situated or located things are groups.
They make students active participants
in the work .
20. STAGES OF TEACHING .
• Pre-Teaching Stage /
Pre-Active Phase .
It consists
essentially of the planning
of a lesson, not merely the
designing of a lesson plan
. Planning includes;
identifying the objectives
to be achieved in terms of
students learning, the
strategies and methods to
be adopted , use of
teaching aids and so on .
21. STAGES OF TEACHING .
• TEACHING-
LEARNING PROCESS
STAGE /INTERACTIVE
PHASE.
Includes
execution of the plan,
where learning experiences
are provided to students
through suitable modes
and evaluation of students’
learning is done .
Here more interaction occurs
between the Teacher and
the Students along with AV
aids .
22. STAGES OF TEACHING .
• POST TEACHING STAGE/
POST ACTIVE PHASE .
It consists of testing
the effectiveness of teaching –
learning process. The Teacher
uses various methods of
evaluation in assessing the
success of his/her teaching and
learning by the students . Post
teaching includes performance
evaluation of students, the extent
of students’ achievements and
also on deciding on changes in the
way of proceeding with the entire
process of teaching - learning if
required .
