3. Rules of badminton
➢ A player must wait until his opponent is ready before serving. If the opponent attempts a return
then he is ruled having been ready.
➢ The feet of both players must remain in a stationary position until the serve is made. Your feet
can not be touching the line at this time.
➢ It is not a fault if you miss the shuttle while serving.
➢ The shuttle cannot be caught and slung with the racket.
➢ A player cannot hold his racket near the net to ward off a downward stroke by his opponent or to
interfere with his racket.
➢ The shuttle, at the instant of being hit is higher than the servers waist or the head of the racket is
higher than the servers racket hand.
➢ The shuttle does not land in the correct service court.
➢ The server's feet are not in the service court or if the feet of the receiver are not in the court
diagonally opposite the server.
➢ The server steps forward as he/she serves.
5. Rules of kho-kho
➢ The game comprises two teams with 12 players each (as per the rules of the Asian Kho - Kho
Federation 15 players each) in the team while only 9 players actually playing.
➢ The match comprises 4 turns consisting of two defence and two chase turns.
➢ Don't violate the above two rules.
➢ Every put-out defender brings one point to the chasing team.
➢ The high scoring team is declared as the winner.
➢ The game consists of defence as well as tracking skills.
➢ Defence: Single chain, double chain, ring game, dodging, line, advance, avoid and defence faking
➢ Chasing: running dives, pole dives, deceiving (judgement) Kho on the pole, delayed Kho, moving into
cross lanes, rush kho, sitting fake, 3rd rush, covering (skating), pole turn, skit kho, chain kho, etc.
7. Rules of cricket
➢ The winning team in cricket is the side that scores the most runs, although in some situations a draw is recorded
if they both get the same number of runs
➢ A cricket team consists of 11 players and they take it in turns to bat and bowl.
➢ The bowler must not throw the ball, but bowl the ball overarm at the stumps, which are at either end of a
22-yard area called a wicket.
➢ A batter is declared out if the bowler knocks off the bails of the stumps with a delivery.
➢ A batter is declared out if a fielder or wicketkeeper catches the ball directly off the bat and before it hits the
ground.
➢ A batter is declared out if the umpire believes that the bowler's ball would have hit the stumps if the batter had
not obstructed the ball with their pads. This is known as leg before wicket (or LBW).
➢ A batter is declared run-out when they are going for a run but do not make the batting crease before fielding
team knocks off the cricket stumps
➢ A batter is declared out if the wicketkeeper stumps them.
➢ A batter is declared out if they knock over their stumps while playing a shot or avoiding a delivery.
➢ A batter is declared out if the umpire believes the batter has purposely obstructed a fielder who is about to take
a catch or attempt a run-out.
