2. Genre: Electronics
• A genre widely renowned for it’s new
generation influence and wide use of
computer-generated sounds. As of such, this
genre is fairly new in comparison to many
other genres but can be dated to at least the
50’s. In retrospective, many other sub-genres
and new genres have been produced from this
ideal, including dubstep, trance and techno to
which are all similarly linked.
3. Artists & Mise En Scene
• In electronics, many names come to mind which include
Tiesto, Avicii and Skrillex. Tiesto appears to dress the most
stylish and glamorous which suggests the fine and majestic
aspects of this genre which can liken techno and trance to
being the valour of electronics. Avicii has a more
simple, casual and humble attire which could represent the
honourable and free parts of the genre as we find that
Avicii has set his own charity in correspondence to world
hunger; using of course music to help this battle. Then
there is Skrillex who happens to be the messiah of dubstep;
so to speak… He has a really wild and gritty look which
could liken him to rock stars that could suggest that his kind
of dubstep is the wild and uncontrollable rival to rock itself.
