I. Summary
of
the
articles
During
the
semester,
the
subjects
of
our
articles
related
mainly
to
the
new
technologies,
Internet,
the
social
issues,
or
the
health
issues.
We’re
going
to
summarize
our
different
articles
by
topic.
New
Technologies
In
new
technologies,
we
found
articles
about
Facebook,
APPLE,
Google
Map,
and
Philips.
Actually,
it
all
deals
with
the
fact
that
they
wanted
to
launch
a
new
product.
Firstly
Facebook
announced
on
April
4th,
the
launching
of
a
new
smartphone
specifically
designed
to
access
to
the
social
network,
with
an
android
operating
system
and
manufactured
by
HTC.
Also
on
the
same
day,
Apple
annonced
that
they
would
like
to
launch
the
Iwatch,
which
is
a
smartphone
that
you
can
put
on
the
wrist
like
a
wristwatch.
In
partnership
precisely
with
Apple,
Philips
introduced
the
week
of
May
of
13rd,
an
intelligent
LED
light
bulb
that
could
transform
the
lighting
and
electronics
industry.
The
company
calls
its
smart
bulbs
the
Hue
1.1
with
several
hi-‐tech
features
as
changing
our
light’s
color
to
let
us
know
when
it’s
raining,
or
randomly
changing
our
light’s
color
with
a
text
message
or
it
can
be
programmed
for
safety
and
security
purposes,
etc.
On
the
other
side,
Google
map
is
going
to
improve
their
application:
indeed,
more
we’ll
interact
with
the
map,
better
it
gets,
google
map
will
build
even
more
useful
map
with
recommendation
places
we’ll
might
enjoy,
with
also
a
new
3D
graphic
version
of
the
map.
Internet
Today,
our
generation
is
surrounded
with
the
new
technologies,
but
also
on
the
world
of
Internet
with
the
social
networks,
the
search
engines
like
Google,
Yahoo
and
others,
but
also
the
use
of
youtube,
etc.
That’s
why
some
of
our
articles
are
related
to
this
subject
like
Burger
King’s
tweeter
has
been
hacked,
yahoo
will
repurchase
Tumblr
for
1.1
billion
dollar,
Google
makes
“ungoogleable”
unusable
in
Sweeden,
and
a
man
won
$10000
with
Apple,
a
hack
attack
on
Yahoo
Japan,
a
17
years
old
boy
Nick
sold
his
app
to
Yahoo
for
£19m.
All
these
articles
are
different
from
each
other
but
they
all
refer
to
the
web,
indeed
it
deals
with
hacking
like
the
Twitter
Burger
king
has
been
hacked
by
the
anonymous
hacker
group,
they
changed
the
name
by
Mac
Donald’s,
Burger
King’s
main
competitor,
they
also
switched
the
profile
photo
to
the
McDonald’s
logo
etc,
or
in
the
same
way,
22
millions
login
names
may
have
been
stolen
during
a
hack
attack
on
Yahoo
Japan.
It
also
deals
with
earning
money
thanks
to
this
new
way
of
living,
actually
a
man
won
apple’s
app
jackpot
by
pressing
the
download
button
on
a
word
game
app
and
sent
Apple
over
the
50
billion
app
download
mark,
that’s
why
he
won
the
$10,000
prize
or
the
17
years
old
boy
Nick
d’Aloisio
sold
an
app
made
on
his
home
computer
for
£19m,
to
4. 3
yahoo,
it
shows
how
the
democratisation
of
the
web
creates
an
unpredictable
marketplace.
Apart,
Yahoo
announced
that
they
repurchased
the
platform
of
blogs
Tumblr
for
1.1
billion
dollar
in
order
to
find
a
new
dash
in
the
social
networks,
and
thus
to
touch
the
new
generations
of
net
surfers.
In
this
topic,
we
have
also
an
uncommon
subject,
which
is
Google
didn’t
want
the
Swedes
introduce
the
word
“google”
into
their
list
of
new
words
as
they
believed
that
using
its
name
in
the
word
was
“unfair”
and
“ostensibly”.
Social
issues
In
this
part,
we’ve
got
articles
about:
Gerald
Babin
who
died
on
Koh-‐Lanta,
a
10
years
old
boy
sentenced
up
to
5
½
years
for
a
school
murder
plot,
Oscar
Pistorius,
gay
marriage
on
the
supreme
court,
explosions
on
the
Boston
Marathon,
Margaret
Thatcher’s
death.
All
these
articles
are
very
different
from
each
other,
some
are
about
murder,
others
death,
or
attack,
etc.
But
they
are
all
unexpected
events,
which
deal
with
the
society.
Indeed,
we
have
Oscar
Pistorius
who
were
accused
of
the
murder
of
his
girlfriend
Reeva
Steenkamp
the
14th
of
February,
on
the
same
subject
we
also
have
an
article
about
a
10
year
old
boy
from
Seattle
who
was
condemned
to
5
years
and
half
in
a
youthful
installation
of
detention
for
his
role
in
a
plot
to
violate
and
to
murder
a
girl
from
his
school
and
harming
other
children.
We
also
have
articles
about
Margaret
Thatcher
who
died
on
April
8th
in
London,
at
the
age
of
87
years
old
after
a
heart
attack.
Similarly,
Gerald
Gabin,
a
candidate
of
Koh-‐
Lanta
who
died
on
March
28th
after
a
series
of
cardiac
arrests
during
his
transfer
toward
the
hospital.
In
the
social
issues,
we
also
deal
with
the
gay
marriage
as
it
is
an
important
debate
around
the
world,
our
article
was
about
the
Supreme
Court
taking
an
important
decision
about
the
same
sex-‐marriage,
if
they
will
authorize
it
or
not.
In
this
topic,
we
also
talk
about
the
deadly
explosions,
which
hit
the
Boston
Marathon,
actually
at
least
three
people
died,
and
more
than
a
hundred
were
injured
with
this
attack.
Health
issues
Our
articles
deal
with
bird
flu
in
China
and
also
the
horsemeat’s
issue.
This
is
two
subjects
apart:
indeed
on
the
one
hand
we
have
a
virus
called
bird
flu
H7N9
which
spread
all
over
China
and
who
killed
5
people
since
the
beginning
of
the
year,
even
if
the
World
Health
Authorities
are
on
alert,
they
are
not
able
to
find
a
solution
to
put
an
end
to
it.
On
the
other
hand
we
have
the
scandal
over
beef
products
mixed
with
horse
meat
from
the
brand
Findus,
even
if
they
were
able
to
get
ride
of
the
products
which
contain
horse
meat,
their
brand
image
is
not
the
same
anymore,
it
will
be
hard
for
them
to
regain
the
consumer’s
trust.
5. 4
These
two
articles
are
alike
as
they
deal
with
people’s
health
but
they
are
also
different
as
one
is
difficult
to
eradicate
whereas
the
other
is
a
mistake,
which
according
the
authorities
won’t
be
a
risk
for
the
human
health.
II. Own
Analysis
New
technologies
When
we
talk
about
new
technologies,
it’s
particularly
referred
to
the
new
methods
of
information
and
communication.
They
gather
the
innovations
carried
out
in
communication
or
in
the
information
processing
thanks
to
digital
and
the
new
way
of
telecommunication.
Their
impact
extends
on
multiple
fields,
in
particular
on
our
lifestyle
and
our
economy.
Indeed,
much
of
new
technologies
were
recently
elaborate
in
order
to
improve
the
communication,
as
with
Facebook,
which
wish
to
produce
a
smartphone
in
direct
link
with
the
social
network
which
wears
the
same
name,
or
Apple
and
its
Iwatch,
for
targeted
more
customers,
such
as
the
sportsmen
and
also
Google
map
and
the
improvement
of
its
application.
These
new
technologies
are
a
new
way
of
communication
but
also
for
some
companies,
to
remain
more
competitive
as
possible
by
carrying
out
the
most
original
projects
in
order
to
satisfying
the
people
followers
with
new
technologies.
Many
people
are
“addicts”
and
aren’t
able
to
live
without
it,
using
it
as
much
like
a
tool
in
their
private
life
as
in
their
professional
life.
It
became
a
lifestyle,
as
for
example
Philips
that
launches
its
intelligent
LED
light
bulb
for
the
users
to
have
the
possibility
to
colour
their
environment
according
to
their
moods
or
according
to
external
time.
These
innovations
are
indeed
carried
out
in
order
to
improve
the
lifestyle
of
people
who
nowadays
are
very
inclined
with
these
new
gadgets.
But
do
we
really
need
all
this?
Until
where
the
companies
are
they
ready
to
go?
Samsung
and
Apple
can’t
help
themselves
from
trying
to
exceed
the
other,
there
are
unceasingly
new
products
on
the
market,
certainly
our
market
of
consumption
allows
it,
but
aren’t
we
also
push
to
consume
by
these
constant
launches
of
products?
Some
products
are
very
clever
and
very
useful
for
the
daily
life
but
some
others,
not
so
much,
and
do
not
have
significant
interest
for
an
average
person.
Internet
Nowadays,
Internet
is
still
a
very
important
way
of
communication.
Before
that,
it
is
also
a
paramount
tool
in
search
of
knowing
and
information.
Indeed,
several
million
(or
billion)
people
per
day
use
Internet
in
order
to
find
information
for
a
duty,
to
find
a
work
or
to
know
tomorrow’s
weather.
Some
people,
like
Nick
D'
Aloisio,
17
years
old,
sold
his
application
more
than
£19m.
But
it
shows
that
the
democratisation
of
the
web
is
certain,
and
it
creates
a
new
marketplace.
It
is
a
world
where
business
cannot
rely
on
being
an
established
player,
and
where
anyone
can
make
a
mark
from
the
comfort
of
6. 5
their
own
home
with
a
PC,
an
idea
and
a
basic
knowledge
of
how
to
remix
what
already
exists
on
the
web
to
create
something
new
and
exciting.
The
world
of
the
Internet
reverse
unfortunately
several
facets:
To
start,
Google
and
Yahoo
which
are
search
engines
known
in
the
whole
world,
have
main
missions
such
as
organizing
information
on
a
worldwide
scale
with
an
aim
of
making
them
available
and
useful
to
all.
Their
“super
power”
thus
enables
them
to
repurchase
as
many
sites
as
they
want,
such
as
Yahoo,
which
repurchased
Tumblr.
Google,
even
now
became
a
word
of
the
everyday
life,
even
if
the
Google
company
refused
it
categorically,
which
explained
its
disagreement
with
the
Language
Council
of
Sweden.
One
can
thus
wonder
which
is
the
real
impact
of
Internet
on
our
society
and
if
that
can
have
consequences
on
our
future
generations?
Internet
can
also
appear
very
dangerous.
Indeed,
the
social
networks,
for
example,
gather
many
personal
information
on
many
people
but
also
on
the
companies
and
even
multinationals
which
today
bet
more
and
more
on
the
communication
by
the
social
networks
and
Internet.
Besides,
Burger
King
has
been
the
victim
of
a
hack
on
its
tweeter
account
and
has
been
replaced
by
its
biggest
competitor:
Mac
Donald'
S.
Bad
publicity,
but
also
very
worrying
as
for
the
protection
of
information
and
the
accesses,
supposed
to
remain
confidential.
Another
example,
22
million
login
names
may
been
stolen
during
a
hack
attack
on
Yahoo
Japan,
being
personal
accounts
as
well.
We
can
wonder
if
Internet,
in
spite
of
its
good
sides,
isn’t
kind
of
dangerous
for
us?
It
seems
to
be
in
some
points,
but
according
to
us,
it
is
also
our
responsibility
to
be
aware
of
it
and
to
pay
attention
to
the
personal
information
we
put
on
the
social
networks
or
elsewhere
that
link
with
the
web.
It
is
also
true
that
many
CEO,
before
recruiting
somebody
for
a
job,
go
on
the
social
networks
in
order
to
get
to
know
much
more
about
his
future
employee.
Those
finding
themselves
well
disappointed
at
the
time
of
their
refusal.
Social
issues
This
topic
deals
with
deaths
or
attacks
by
weapons,
like
the
case
of
Oscar
Pistorius
or
the
10
years
old
boy
who
has
been
condemned
at
Seattle.
All
of
us
used
firearms,
which
had
caused
several
damage.
We
can
wonder
why
the
carrying
of
weapons
is
then
authorized?
Why
people
feel
obliged
to
have
weapons
to
feel
safe?
Most
of
the
time,
it
creates
problems;
it
is
besides
one
of
the
debates
that
preoccupied
the
United
States.
The
carrying
of
weapons
can
be
used
to
be
protected,
certainly,
but
most
of
time
it
is
a
huge
problem
to
regulate,
it
is
necessary
to
say
that
portfolios
armour-‐plated
for
children
were
created.
This
authorization
causes
more
one
concern
for
the
population
that
a
relief.
Indeed,
even
if
most
people
thinks
that
it
necessary
to
get
ride
of
this
law
allowing
the
carrying
of
weapons,
it’s
impossible
to
do
it
as
it
is
written
in
the
American
constitution,
it
would
force
things
to
be
reconsider,
something
build
long
time
ago,
which
is
not
possible.
Moreover,
the
purchasing
of
weapons
is
an
important
resource
for
the
United
States,
which
they
won’t
be
able
to
live
without
in
this
time
of
crisis.
Although,
it
doesn’t
mean
we
agree
with
this
law,
at
the
contrary,
seeing
the
fact
that
it
causes
many
dramatics
accidents
that
could
have
been
avoid,
particularly
in
the
young
7. 6
people
life.
Perhaps
the
United
States
does
not
feel
safe,
which
explain
this
authorization,
but
it
doesn’t
prevent
from
some
attacks
as
the
attack
with
the
marathon
of
Boston,
even
if
we
still
don’t
know
the
reason
as
of
these
attacks.
We
also
treated
the
Homosexual
marriage
in
the
United
States.
Indeed,
the
Supreme
Court
was
supposed
to
take
a
decision
about
the
authorization
of
homosexual
marriage
or
not.
According
to
us,
human,
men
or
women
are
free
and
equal,
they
can
be
with
whoever
they
want
and
thus
marry
with
the
person
of
their
choice,
that
it
is
same
sex
or
not.
The
marriage
is
an
act,
which
should
be
allowed
to
everyone,
it
is
a
symbol.
It
seems
normal
that
people,
who
are
in
love,
can
be
recognized
as
marrying
by
the
state
if
they
wish
it.
Health
issues
About
this
topic,
we’ve
got
only
two
articles,
which
deal
with
people’s
health.
Firstly,
the
bird
flu
in
China
also
known
as
the
H7N9,
14
cases
have
been
detected
including
5
deaths.
This
is
a
serious
health
problem
that
the
authorities
are
trying
to
solve.
According
to
us,
it's
great
that
Americans
have
offered
their
help;
it
shows
support
from
different
countries
of
the
world.
With
this
obvious
solidarity,
everything
could
be
solve
more
easily.
In
the
case
of
horsemeat
for
the
Findus
brand,
health
is
not
in
danger,
but
it
is
still
a
significant
error.
The
brand
of
this
company
takes
a
hit,
the
trust
of
the
consumers,
now,
isn’t
assured.
The
honesty
of
the
brand
is
in
doubt.
For
us,
they
will
struggle
to
regain
the
trust
they
used
to
have
and
their
sales
will
suffer
from
it.
Moreover,
when
we
consume
a
product,
to
know
the
contents
of
it,
we
refer
to
what
the
brand
assure
us,
how
can
we
consume
and
purchase
in
all
confidence
when
these
kind
of
things
happen?
Even
if,
it
seems
not
to
be
a
danger
for
this
case,
as
we’re
lucky,
it
could
be
worse,
and
as
the
brand
Findus
is
a
lot
consume,
it
would
have
been
a
huge
bad
impact.
It
shows
how
a
choice
from
a
big
brand
can
have
huge
consequences
on
a
large
numbers
of
people.
