• EUC wide systemic changes

– Adding e-governance
– Transforming campus to smart campus
Where we start from…
• 2007 – Moodle installed as a LMS
• 2013 – establishment of the DE unit
– Purchase of Blackboard LMS and Collaborate
• 2014 – Green policy for copies – use of moodle for all
courses
• 2015 – Hybritity project
• 2018 – DeL project
• 2020 – Covid-19 – all teaching went online
• 2021 – Today: Covid-19 legacy
Digital enchanced Leanring history
• Substantially improves student learning experiences throughout
campus
– Better, more meaningful, more useful and more valuable experience with
cutting-edge knowledge of the field
• Increase student active and meaningful engagement throughout the
week
– During lecture time with more active learning engagement
– Between lectures
• Builds communities of practice in each course beyond the in-class
meetings
– Meaningfully keep in touch throughout the week
– Student peer feedback and collaboration
Digitally enhanced Learning (DeL)
• Improve student learning experiences in all conventional
courses and programs
• Added (not replaced) pedagogical value – restructure
the course in ways that have added value!
– It is not simply about adding technological tools in everyday teaching
• By the use of new, cutting-edge technology-mediated tools
that can transform student learning experiences
• There is not a single recipe of success!

Digital learning tools can provide
• Hyflex course are different from
– Fully conventional courses
– Fully online course
• Need to have in mind that returning conventional courses back to
campus does not means that we teach the way we did in 2019!
• Instead, we improve our teaching through lessons learning during
covid-19 Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021
• Hyflex has the added dificulty to deliver lectures to both in-class and
on-line students – and engage both groups in meaningful and active
ways
Fall 2021: teaching with live transmission
• Continue improving our students’ learning
experiences through our courses
• We do not simply return back to F2019…
• Will work based on lessons learned during
covid-19 epidemic in a number of areas

DeL during F2021

• Will work in groups of conventional
programs
• Groups = Professional Learning
Communities (PLCs)
• In the form of peer-supported community
How we will work during 2021-2022
• Each conventional program (bachelor and masters) coordinator will head one
faculty PLC – all DeL committee members will head at least one PLC
• All teaching personel of conventional programs will be part of at least one
PLC
• Full-time personel is expected to participate in all meetings of her/his PLC
• Meet once a (teaching) month for 60’ – online
• Meeting can be combined with coordination meetings
• Three (monthly) meetings per semester
• Exchange experiences, identify needs, discuss good practices, identify
solutions, future steps
• Submit short report on a given template to collect needs etc
• Invite external to the group experts or colleagues when needed

  • 6. • Substantially improves student learning experiences throughout campus – Better, more meaningful, more useful and more valuable experience with cutting-edge knowledge of the field • Increase student active and meaningful engagement throughout the week – During lecture time with more active learning engagement – Between lectures • Builds communities of practice in each course beyond the in-class meetings – Meaningfully keep in touch throughout the week – Student peer feedback and collaboration Digitally enhanced Learning (DeL)

  • 11. • Hyflex course are different from – Fully conventional courses – Fully online course • Need to have in mind that returning conventional courses back to campus does not means that we teach the way we did in 2019! • Instead, we improve our teaching through lessons learning during covid-19 Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021 • Hyflex has the added dificulty to deliver lectures to both in-class and on-line students – and engage both groups in meaningful and active ways Fall 2021: teaching with live transmission
  • 12. • Continue improving our students’ learning experiences through our courses • We do not simply return back to F2019… • Will work based on lessons learned during covid-19 epidemic in a number of areas Our target for 2021-2022

  • 15. • Each conventional program (bachelor and masters) coordinator will head one faculty PLC – all DeL committee members will head at least one PLC • All teaching personel of conventional programs will be part of at least one PLC • Full-time personel is expected to participate in all meetings of her/his PLC • Meet once a (teaching) month for 60’ – online • Meeting can be combined with coordination meetings • Three (monthly) meetings per semester • Exchange experiences, identify needs, discuss good practices, identify solutions, future steps • Submit short report on a given template to collect needs etc • Invite external to the group experts or colleagues when needed Each faculty PLC
