Hinweis der Redaktion
This presentation was created by Lorna Nelson as an intro to slide design for ENG 111, ENG 112, and HUM 246 students. It provides some basic pointers on how to design slides, keeping in mind that the audience isn’t therreto read the slides.
Made text legible by maintaining a high contrast between text and beckground.
Save bullet points for handouts.
Layout can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. For good balance, use the rule of thirds. Turn on grid lines and line things up. Group related concepts and images.
Sans serif font is usually recommended for presentations. Stick with the same font, or no more than two that are in the same family.
(My PPT 2007 doesn’t go up to 120 point; this is 96.) In order for people in the back to see the letters, use 72-120 point font.
People are here to see and hear you. The slides are background with emotional appeal and key concepts.
