Easter Seals Students and Tim Tebow Shine Bright Like a Diamond
Tim Tebow Foundation "Night to Shine" prom
SARASOTA, FL (February 18, 2016) — The Tim Tebow Foundation gave the students of Easter
Seals Southwest Florida one more reason to shine this Valentine’s Day. The football star and
sports commentator partnered with Bayside Community Church in Bradenton and more than 200
other churches worldwide to host “Night to Shine.” The annual event gives people with special
needs ages 16 and older the opportunity to have an unforgettable prom experience.
Easter Seals students were among the more than 80 prom attendees from the special needs
community in the Sarasota and Bradenton counties that attended “Night to Shine.” Guests were
given the royal treatment, arriving my stretched limo, complete with an entourage of supporters,
photographers and a red carpet. Once they got inside, they were treated to hair and makeup,
shoe shining stations, and either a corsage or a boutonniere. There was karaoke and dancing,
and every single guest was crowned king or queen.
Volunteers from all over southwest Florida served as prom dates to each and every person
attending the glamorous evening affair. While Tebow himself was not able to attend this
particular “Night to Shine,” he did have this to say.
“We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the
country with special needs.” “This event perfectly fits our mission to bring faith, hope and love
to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”
Each year “Night to Shine” brings together more than 70,000 volunteers and 30,000 honored
guests to share an amazing prom experience on the same night around the world.
Easter Seals Southwest Florida is proud to service over 500 children and adults with disabilities.
Easter Seals programs service people of all abilities and ages. The organization and its staff are
committed to remaining a leader in special needs services by offering individuals and their
families the resources and support they need to lead a more independent lifestyle.

Easter Seals of Southwest Florida Presents Un-Forked: A “Grazing” Event
A Farm to Table Tasting Experience
Sarasota, FL (October 12, 2015): Easter Seals of Southwest Florida presents: Un-Forked: A
“Grazing” Event featuring local restaurants and food vendors highlighting locally grown produce,
herbs and beverages. The farm to table-like event will take place on the Easter Seals campus
where the nonprofit’s Academy Farms will feature their freshly harvested herbs and vegetables.
Attendees will enjoy an assortment of dishes infused with organic herbs such as purple basil and
cilantro. All dishes will be “Un-Forked” and utensil free.
The event is in partnership with the Hospitality Society of University of South Florida Sarasota-
Manatee and FFA (Future Farmers of America) students from Palmetto High School. Graduate
students from the university’s culinary school will be providing everything from pork sliders to
rice pilau and tomato soup shooters, while Palmetto High School students will be preparing
lettuce wraps and homemade dressings. Familiar names like Michael’s on East and Anna Maria
Oyster Bar will also be on hand providing their own unique dishes.
Jannon Pierce, Director of Marketing and Development said, “This little seed of an idea has
attracted far reaching and diverse partnerships for our community. The goal of this event is to
increase awareness of Easter Seals, its programs and that of our partners, while also providing a
unique, healthy and interactive way to spend your evening.”
Having been part of the community for nearly 70 years, Easter Seals of Southwest Florida is

12 Year Old Philanthropist Partners with Nonprofits to Host Charity Mini Golf Tournament
Benefiting Easter Seals Southwest Florida and Mote Marine Laboratory
Sarasota, Florida May 2, 2016 –12 year old Lexi Mariash and her company Turtle Inc. are hosting their
2nd Annual Miniature Golf Tournament to benefit Easter Seals Southwest Florida and the Sea Turtle
Conservation and Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory. The event presented by Gulf Coast
Community Foundation and Positive Tracks will take place at Evie’s on the Green on May 14th
and will
raise funds for both the sea turtle program at Mote that coordinates conservation of endangered sea
turtles along 35 miles of Sarasota County beaches, and for Easter Seals programs that help support
disabled children and adults in our community.
Positive Tracks is a national, youth-centric nonprofit that helps Generation Next get active and give back
using the power of sport. The Positive Tracks program plugs into charitable athletic events to double
dollars and amplify awareness generated by ages 23 and under. This year, the organization is again
teaming up with Mote to match youth fundraising for Mote’s Sea Turtle Conservation and Research
program That means that all funding raised for Mote from this tournament will be doubled by Positive
Tracks with support from Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
Lexi Mariash founder of Turtle’s Inc. said “I just want to inspire kids to get involved.”
Mariash’s plan is to not only help fund programs at Mote and Easter Seals, but also encourage today’s
youth to get involved in the community and pay it forward. The ambitious 12 year old hopes the
miniature golf tournament will incentivize young people to get active and give back to the sea!
Tickets are $25 per person or $100 per foursome. Food, drink, goody bag and golf are included. The goal
is to raise $25,000 for Mote Marine Laboratory and Easter Seals Southwest Florida.
For more information please, contact Lori Hagey at (941) 355-7637 ext 410. To purchase tickets please

The event presented by Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Positive Tracks will take place at Evie’s on the Green on May 14th and will raise funds for both the sea turtle program at Mote that coordinates conservation of endangered sea turtles along 35 miles of Sarasota County beaches, and for Easter Seals programs that help support disabled children and adults in our community. Positive Tracks is a national, youth-centric nonprofit that helps Generation Next get active and give back using the power of sport. The Positive Tracks program plugs into charitable athletic events to double dollars and amplify awareness generated by ages 23 and under. This year, the organization is again teaming up with Mote to match youth fundraising for Mote’s Sea Turtle Conservation and Research program That means that all funding raised for Mote from this tournament will be doubled by Positive Tracks with support from Gulf Coast Community Foundation. Lexi Mariash founder of Turtle’s Inc. said “I just want to inspire kids to get involved.” Mariash’s plan is to not only help fund programs at Mote and Easter Seals, but also encourage today’s youth to get involved in the community and pay it forward. The ambitious 12 year old hopes the miniature golf tournament will incentivize young people to get active and give back to the sea! Tickets are $25 per person or $100 per foursome. Food, drink, goody bag and golf are included. The goal is to raise $25,000 for Mote Marine Laboratory and Easter Seals Southwest Florida.
