Loren Weiss earned his diploma from Stuyvesant High School in New York before attending the University of Michigan beginning in September 2012. Currently a first-year student, the Stuyvesant graduate closely follows the success of the Wolverines men’s basketball players as the team makes one of its best appearances in the NCAA Division I Tournament in the history of the program.

3. Michigan Wolverines Player Named to NCAA Men's
Basketball All-American First Team
Sophomore Trey Burke proved himself a
dominating force on the Wolverines men’s
basketball team for the second regular season in
a row. Named the 2011-2012 Big Ten Freshman
of the Year by Big Ten media last year, he set
the school’s freshman record for single-season
assists. As a sophomore, he has set the school's
overall record for single-season assists and
continued his streak of winning some of college
basketball’s most prestigious awards.
4. Michigan Wolverines Player Named to NCAA Men's
Basketball All-American First Team
Among Burke's greatest accolades of the 2012-
2013 season was being named an NCAA Men’s
Basketball All-American first team selection and
the Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Player
of the Year. Sports Illustrated also selected
Burke as its National Player of the Year. In late
March, he helped advance the Wolverines to the
NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen for the first
time in nearly 20 years.
