This document describes Mevodena's development of unique composite membranes for producing pure hydrogen gas. The membranes are based on group 5 metals like vanadium, niobium, and tantalum, which are 20 times more productive and use 50 times less palladium than existing purification methods. Mevodena holds 7 patents, with 4 granted, on this technology. The technology could be applied to hydrogen production, fuel cells for vehicles and stationary power sources, and portable fuel cells. Mevodena is seeking €1 million in funding and partnerships to further develop and commercialize the technology.
