Text: With our permanent promise - ” lifting performance ” - we will help our customers to fulfil their needs for handling goods in an ergonomically correct way! How: By producing material handling equipment – e.g. pallet trucks, highlifters, stackers and a large number of custom-built products.
Text: Through teamwork between people and technology, we will work for the following “KLICK”
Text: We want to be a company with “klick” a good working environment a company with an employee policy, showing a human and open attitude to the employees a human and open company to people, needing help to get foothold in the labour market
Our values build on the history and culture of the company, reflected in quality, logic, performance, flexibility, knowledge and social responsibility. Our values are anchored in environmental consciousness, market orientation and social and moral responsibility.
The smithy worked for the farmers in the area during the second world war. Creativity and technical cleverness lead to the production of different machines, especially for the farmers. All the drawings were made with chalk on the factory floor. Nis A. Pedersen was a man with a lot of ideas, during the night he got an idea and the next day he made the drawings on the floor and was ready to make a prototype…
1945: The first machines being manufactured were wheel barrows for stones and dry-method beet washers. 1957: The possibility of using hydraulics in different products was found quickly, and this know-how about hydraulics led to manufacturing of cranes and auto lifts. A customer in the North of the country ordered 2000 hydraulic pumps for the pallet trucks he produced. After receiving 100 of them, he went bankrupt. So – what to do with 1900 pumps for pallet trucks? Well Nis A. Pedersen did not want to throw them out, so he decided to make the pallet trucks himself. And then the manufacturing of material handling equipment started. 1970: 2002 Logitrans delivered the last spare parts to the hydraulic systems for stable cleaning. 1975: For reasons of health, Nis was not able to manage the company in a – in his opinion – satisfactory way. His son Erling Pedersen ended his education as mechanic in the company in 1967, and continued his education in Odense as mechanical engineer. In 1971 he passed his examination very successfully, and went home to the western part of Denmark, and took over the daily management of the company. At this time, 10 persons were employed in the company.
1982: Material handling equipment proved to be excellent export articles and contributed to Nisap taking over the export company Logitrans 1993: Production of fully powered equipment started 2011 : Opening own production premises in China 2009: Starting up production in China 2011: Opening own production premises in China 2012: Generational change: Dorte Pedersen and Gitte Kirkegaard, daughters of President Erling Pedersen, take over the share majority
After 20 years with Logitrans as sales company and Nisap as production company, the products were known under the brand Logitrans. The board of directors therefore decided to merge the two companies, amongst others to avoid double invoicing. As Logitrans was the known brand, it was decided to name the company Logitrans A/S.
Text: If we want to have a stronger brand, we have to accept that we cannot be well known in all industries – we need to focus on segments we are good at.
The strategy filter is a tool to choose the products, to choose the way we communicate, to choose the employees at Logitrans, and to choose dealers and co-operation partners. The strategy filter is to be seen as an internal working tool. As an example – when developing a new product we have to make sure that all the above parameters are fulfilled. This also applies to the three next slides. If we can – so to speak - put all our products through the filter – meaning that all products fulfil the points, then we will turn to be even stronger. In the middle we write – NO PROBLEM – meaning: if we fulfil all the points, we will experience NO PROBLEM. In Danish we say NUL BØVL for NO PROBLEM – when people in Denmark hear the NUL BØVL, we start smiling. In English this could also be NO FUSS…or something else to make people smile…..:o)
