1. Question 6
What have you learnt about the technologies from the process of constructing this
product?
2. Using logger.
When we were first introduced to Blogger I found it quite difficult to the get hang of blogging and uploading
my thoughts and feelings regularly. At first I was nervous at the thought of writing something wrong. I
overcame this when I realised what I needed to be uploading and why. I thought of my blog as a diary, this
helped me when I was writing.
When I got into the routine of blogging regularly I enjoyed it, I enjoyed talking about my work and explaining
why or why not I did something.
3. Using
When I first started to use Prezi I found it easy – this is
because it was very similar to
I have really enjoyed making Prezi’s as it means I can let out
my creative side and make each slide look interesting and fun
to look at.
The only part I found challenging was discovering how to
A Prezi, I overcame this by asking my teacher to explain it
and then trying it out myself.
Overall I think that Prezi is definitely my favourite type of
program to use.
4. Using
When I used Slide share I had a few problems with trying to upload a Prezi. I have learnt when using this program how to
upload presentations so that my peers and my teacher can view them.
The problem I came across was when I tried to upload my Prezi – the problem I had was due to network problems, this
resulted in it taking me a few hours to be able to officially upload the Prezi.
5. Using my camerafor the firsttime.
One of my favourite parts of this course was taking the pictures of ‘Peaceful Panic’
Taking photos is something I really enjoy, therefore I loved learning different techniques
and how to use my camera properly.
One thing that I struggled with when taking photos was trying to make the actions look
natural, I took one photo of my friend Oliver and asked him to walk, when I took the
photo I did not like it as it looked very un-natural.
Something I used when taking photos in the studio was a soft box lighting unit,
this helped me to create shadows and also make darker areas lighter.
6. Using hoto hop
When I first started this course Photoshop was completely new to me - this was a program I had
never used before.
I have really enjoyed learning about Photoshop and about the many different things that can be
produced from it. Before starting to use this myself I was unaware of the many things that it can
do.
Photoshop has taught me to never again trust a picture as there is a high chance it has been
changed in some way.
I mainly used Photoshop to change my pictures and to put them onto different backgrounds. A
way in which I changed a picture was by changing eye colour (from red to their normal colour) and
also taking out the reflections from my flash in some guitars and Liam's glasses.
One problem I came across was when cutting out a group picture of the band, when cutting it
(without realizing) I ended up cutting of parts of peoples faces and feet – to overcome this cut out
the photograph again but this time zoom in closer and cut it slower.
I also learnt about the use of layers when making my magazine and how important they are.
