Evolution Marketing is pleased to announce that we have joined the 1% the Planet movement
(www.onepercentfortheplanet.org). One Percent the Planet is an international organization whose
members contribute at least one percent of their annual sales to environmental causes.
Over the last ten years, Evolution Marketing has donated volunteer time, professional services and
cash to various local, regional organizations that have a similar mission to our own. In September of
this year, we celebrated our 10th birthday, since that time we have been working on re-evaluating
and formalizing various aspects of our operations. One change that we have implemented is a
formalized way to track our volunteer efforts and financial donations to environmental causes by a third
party (i.e. 1% for the Planet). We are very excited for this new partnership with 1% for the Planet and
look forward to working with them for many years to come!
Piece of Mind
1% for the Planet organization certifies our donations to WI-based nonprofit environmental
organizations and, as such provides you our clients/customers, supporters and friends with a piece
of mind. At Evolution Marketing we pledge to make sure that at least one percent of our income
from your projects will be fueled back into local environmental projects. In 2017, we will be
making financial donations to Cool Choices and their K-12 Community Education Program
(https://coolchoices.com/contribute/ ) and the Wisconsin Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council
(https://www.usgbc.org/usgbc-wisconsin ). Members of our team have also donated time to these
approved nonprofits’ programs (i.e. USGBC’s 30x30 Nature Challenge, Sustainability Roundtables and
Annual Meeting, as well as we, assisted Cool Choices in bringing a community level game to
Waukesha County) over the last year.
Giving Back in 2017
Historically Evolution Marketing has focused our “social sustainability” efforts around outreach and
engagement efforts within Oconomowoc and Waukesha County. As practitioners and leaders
working within the sustainable business world, we believe it is important to also support state-
level initiatives and nonprofits that are working towards the creation of a more equitable and
just world for all. This year we will be making a financial donation to Citizens Utility Board (CUB) of
Wisconsin (http://www.wiscub.org/) because the Wisconsin small business community needs an
independent voice advocating on our behalf to the Public Service Commission.
We have also joined forces with other local businesses that are working towards “Being the change you
want to see in the world,” and have donated our time to help grow the Certified B Corps/benefit
corporation movement within the WI business community. At the hyperlocal level representatives from
Evolution Marketing have spent the fall semester visiting various Oconomowoc High School
classrooms sharing stories, samples and artwork from projects and educating students about the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the role those goals will have on our
future world.

Evolution Marketing Joins 1% for the Planet Movement

  • 1. Evolution Marketing is pleased to announce that we have joined the 1% the Planet movement (www.onepercentfortheplanet.org). One Percent the Planet is an international organization whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual sales to environmental causes. Over the last ten years, Evolution Marketing has donated volunteer time, professional services and cash to various local, regional organizations that have a similar mission to our own. In September of this year, we celebrated our 10th birthday, since that time we have been working on re-evaluating and formalizing various aspects of our operations. One change that we have implemented is a formalized way to track our volunteer efforts and financial donations to environmental causes by a third party (i.e. 1% for the Planet). We are very excited for this new partnership with 1% for the Planet and look forward to working with them for many years to come! Piece of Mind 1% for the Planet organization certifies our donations to WI-based nonprofit environmental organizations and, as such provides you our clients/customers, supporters and friends with a piece of mind. At Evolution Marketing we pledge to make sure that at least one percent of our income from your projects will be fueled back into local environmental projects. In 2017, we will be making financial donations to Cool Choices and their K-12 Community Education Program (https://coolchoices.com/contribute/ ) and the Wisconsin Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (https://www.usgbc.org/usgbc-wisconsin ). Members of our team have also donated time to these approved nonprofits’ programs (i.e. USGBC’s 30x30 Nature Challenge, Sustainability Roundtables and Annual Meeting, as well as we, assisted Cool Choices in bringing a community level game to Waukesha County) over the last year. Giving Back in 2017 Historically Evolution Marketing has focused our “social sustainability” efforts around outreach and engagement efforts within Oconomowoc and Waukesha County. As practitioners and leaders working within the sustainable business world, we believe it is important to also support state- level initiatives and nonprofits that are working towards the creation of a more equitable and just world for all. This year we will be making a financial donation to Citizens Utility Board (CUB) of Wisconsin (http://www.wiscub.org/) because the Wisconsin small business community needs an independent voice advocating on our behalf to the Public Service Commission. We have also joined forces with other local businesses that are working towards “Being the change you want to see in the world,” and have donated our time to help grow the Certified B Corps/benefit corporation movement within the WI business community. At the hyperlocal level representatives from Evolution Marketing have spent the fall semester visiting various Oconomowoc High School classrooms sharing stories, samples and artwork from projects and educating students about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the role those goals will have on our future world.
