Add photos, images or videos to the top of your posts for more engagement with your followers!
Even though there are millions of images on the web, that doesn’t mean that we can add all of them to posts.
Here is a quick lesson in how to search for, download, credit and add a legal image to your LinkedIn Post.

2. Type a keyword for the image you are looking for in the seach bar at the top-right hand corner of the page

notice that these include photos with “Any License”. We can only use Creative Commons images for posts so
to filter them out just select the License drop down at the top and selecting Creative Commons Only

3. A ton of images will appear that include your search term (in this case, we searched
for startup) but you’ll notice that these include photos with “Any License”. We can only
use Creative Commons images for posts so to filter them out just select the License
drop down at the top and selecting Creative Commons Only. If you are going to get
creative and edit the images, then select the option for “Modifications allowed”.
4. After you search for Creative Commons only images, then pick anyone you like and click on it. Then you’ll
see a window like this... From there click on the arrow and see the size options, medium or large is the best
size for our platform.

4. The next step is to add the photo to your post on LinkedIn. There is location at the top
of the post to upload a Cover Image by navigating to the image you just downloaded
or have on your computer. Images look best uploaded when larger than 698x400px.
5. The last step is to add the photo credit over your cover image. Do this by copying the
photographer’s name right from the site and pasting it over the cover photo or at the
bottom of the post.
