3. Search for a book by typing the title or key words

3. 1. The Catalogue/ALEPH displays the book record, i.e. info about the book
2. It indicates that it is an “Electronic book” or eBook
3. Click on the hyperlink to access the book

4. 1. The page opens the database eBook Collection in EbscoHost (platform)
2. View the book online
3. Export the reference information to your citation manager
4. Click to view a chapter (One can read sections of the book without signing in)

a) Sign into your EbscoHost account (TIP: use your UCT credentials)
b) The ‘take out’ system works like a printed book so select a loan period
c) If the book is out, place a hold on it
