The document summarizes the selection process for a documentary topic. It discusses three potential topics - Hair, Uniforms, and Tea. Hair and Uniforms were rejected for lacking sufficient interesting or diverse interview subjects and content. Tea was selected as the topic because it has many types and flavors to explore, health benefits to discuss, and local tea manufacturers to potentially interview, providing a professional element. Tea was determined to have the best potential for an engaging and informative documentary.
2. • From the thought shower of ideas, we
decided on 3 possible ideas to cover in a
documentary.
• The following slides show the 3 possible
ideas we had:
3.
4. Hair
• We decided not to go ahead with this idea
because there was limited information that
could be covered.
• Also there wasn’t that many people that
we could interview to a wide range of
professional backgrounds.
• The documentary also wouldn’t have been
very enjoyable, in my opinion.
5.
6. Uniforms
• This idea for the documentary didn’t work
out because it seemed boring, and I don’t
think that it would have appealed to many
people, also it would have a limited target
audience
• Also it would have had limited directions in
which the documentary could go in.

8. Tea
• We decided that our documentary will be based
on tea.
• This is because there is a large range of
different types of tea and different flavours and
brands of tea.
• Also when researching tea, we found that there
are a number of alternative uses of tea, and the
benefits of tea. This can form part of our
documentary and a section of the documentary.
• Another reason why we decided to pick the topic
of tea was because there is two tea
manufactures / factories within travelling time
which we can try to get an interview with, which
will give the documentary a more professional
feel.
9. • This is a brainstorm of our final idea and a
brief description of what we want to
include in the documentary
