2. INTRODUCTION
Unipower Transformer Pvt Ltd established in 2003, is an ISO-
9001-2008 certificated company with its factory located at
Valayamchirangara - Perumani Road, Valayanchirangara P.O-
683556, Perumbavoor, Ernakulam Dist., Kerala. The company is
specialized in design and manufacture of Cast Resin
Transformers, Oil Cooled Transformer, Unitized Substation,
Compact Substations and HT Panels, which are type tested by
Central Power Research Institute(CPRI), Bangalore. The
company’s Installed capacity is 500MVA per annum and the
Turn Over of the last financial year was Rs. 28 cr.
3. NEED FOR THE STUDY

4. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
• To have an overall study of the company and to familiarize
with its various functions.
• To enable the trainee to understand the organization
structure and process in a practical setting.
• To get an idea about how different functional departments
are structured and how each one of them operate.
• To have first hand information about the various policies
and programmes of the firm.
• To provide an opportunity to the trainee to analyse real life
problems and apply the concepts and theory learnt in the
class room.
5. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This study was a descriptive study conducted mainly to
familiarise with the activities, process, policies, programmes
and procedures followed in the firm. Required data for the
study was collected through monitoring and interrogation.
The study is made personally visiting the company at Nellade
the data were collected through various methods.

Direct interview method is used for the collection of data.
6. Limitations of the study
• The study was conducted within the given limit of 28 days.
This lack of time has affected the effectiveness of the study.
• Technical details of production and quality control analysis
could not be studied in depth as such information are
confidential.
• Few records were not available because of their confidential
nature in the company.
• The collection of this report was done with difficulty, because
of the busy schedule of the management.
• The information collected from the employees are not much
reliable.
