NURSING SKILLS (Praxis and Clinical Experience)
 Monitor the progress of patients, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and
consult with appropriate members of the health care team.
 Properly complete nursing assessment, including head to toe assessments.
 Properly perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques,
ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection.
 Administer bedside and personal care to clients including aid in ambulation, and daily
personal hygiene.
 Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care, ensuring patient comfort.
 Care for medically fragile clients by assessing their needs and evaluating the care of stable
clients
 Document patient care by accurately recording activities manually and electronically;
recognized by preceptor for detailed and timely charting.
 Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
