An abridged history
and objectives
Production Expert with a Bachelor (BSc.) of Science Degree in Production Management and (Dip)
Diploma in Production and Operations Management, with over 2 years’ experience working in a
SABMiller footprint subsidiary in Zambia, of which a greater part of it were in the Packaging of Soft
Drinks SSD and the other part in Supply Chain Management function at middle level.
Packaging is a process of design, evaluation, and production of packages. Packaging can be described
as a coordinated system of preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use it
requires collaborative to network with many varied stake holders by means of innovation and creativity to
bridge the various activities across the function. I began my career from mineral production sector within
konkola Copper Mines in warehouse designate on internship to complement the business value chain.
My major leap into my career was when I joined Zambian Breweries as Stock Controller to appreciate
the various functional roles from Tendering, Contract and Project Management, and inventory
management and then as Team Leader which made me appreciate Manufacturing and production
professional and lead a highly producing teams and using lean manufacturing to reduce costs and
increase process efficiency
Zambia Breweries, an FMCG company accorded me an opportunity to further administrate all shift
operations from process monitoring of inputs, outputs, raw materials and costs, my responsibility also
demands that primary metrics (key performance indicators) are monitored, measured and trended for
feedback in the continuous improvement process of production with key emphasis on factory efficiency
and other variables. There are strong aptitudes required for such a role which are critical for delivery of
the requisite aims of the role including influence, efficiency and effectiveness whilst being ethical, reliable
and trustworthy as well as managing performance and competency for both staff and self.

- In F14 Managed to bring down stock variances to about +/-10
- Managed to generate GRN'S within 24hrs and process requisitions timeously
- Ensured quick production of stock reports weekly/monthly including brewing, utilities and
CSD packaging.
- Managed successfully to carry out a project for Konkola Copper Mines Plc. on how best
inventory can be managed.

To ensure effective Warehouse stock control at all times.
Responsibilities:
 Processing of GRN’s for imports/exports in to the system i.e. beer raw
materials.
 Processing receipts of containers (RGB bottles and cases)
 Raising RFQ’S so has to avoid OOS’s( Out of stock)
 Monitoring and managing stock levels.
 Ensuring that purchased materials meet the standard requirements and is
received and stored accordingly.
 Ensuring that departmental costs are identified and managed within the
approved budgets.
 Approval of specific requisitions.
 Recommendation of suppliers and chasing/follow-ups on all orders and
purchase requisitions.
 Monitoring and measuring OT for personnel.
 Ensuring that procedures and work instructions are adhered to; and all
deadlines are met on time.
