8. Traineeships are still viable pathways as finance
industries’ training is specific to the job eg you
work in superannuation.
The largest financial traineeships, along with
business qualifications are in retail banking -
mutual and business, and debt collecting. There
is stable growth, reflecting the market place.
9. JOBS Technical and Artistic Production staff
All industries have shortages of technical directors, production and
operations managers with Corporate Services requiring AV in-house.

explosion - a revolution in quality has occurred.
Major challenges in the industry are due to

At this stage there are no current SBATS in
Printing. ACFIPS is working on a pilot project for
the Central Coast.

differentiation between residential and commercial

conversations), safety aspects of property
management, keeping property to statutory
standards. Understanding differences in rentals
issues: low income affordable, housing commission,
holiday rentals

13. Certificate II Security is the base for licensing
for a Security Officer.
Risk environment has changed, requiring more
health and safety training, and the ability to
analyze risks in emergency situations,
observational/analytical skills, risk management
for an event, and defensive techniques.
14. There are huge opportunities in Security
management and Security Electronics.
There is a certificate II in Technical Security as
an SBATS. At this stage there have been no
SBATS in Technical Security.
