Unalloyed titanium has a specific gravity of 4.54 and strengths of approximately 300-750 N / mm².
Application:
In general, unalloyed titanium resists the corrosive action of wet chlorine gas, salt solutions, seawater, most metallic chlorides, calcium and sodium hypochlorites, nitric acid,
chlorine-containing solvents, and most organic acids. If conditions allow to make titanium anodic, it can withstand media that would otherwise quickly attack strongly. Thus,
titanium is used successfully for suspension devices in sulfuric acid anodizing baths.
