Special Programs
A trade compliance expert equipped with a proven track record of success in boosting efficiencies and reducing costs in the
areas of Duty Drawback and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) management programs - Program combined savings to Celanese of
over $20 million from 2009 YTD. Prepared global business distribution footprints and worked with Business Leaders to identify
new trade optimization opportunities. Implemented and managed a robust Duty Drawback program with a return on revenue of
$15 million duties recovered and $700K in Taxes
• Oversight of managing third party provider expanding Drawback program to include manufacturing program with new
raw material increasing recovery of $.25 million annually
• Continue to strategize to identify new opportunities where applicable by engaging in discussions with Celanese
business leaders through quarterly meetings on impact and progress
• Preparation of drawback claims and follow-up till the receipt of payment from customs including maintaining record-
keeping to comply with governmental regulations
• Designed and deployed a Center of Excellence for Free Trade Agreement verification, realizing over $500 thousand in
savings
• Process leader for constructing replies for inquiries from foreign governments for eligibility determination validation on a
product exported to a Free Trade Agreement country
• COO Project leader & manager in SAP, Acquiring FTA and Manufacture of Affidavit information from all raw material
suppliers annually to use as a tool for eligibility determination for FTA’s
• Oversaw Korea government inquiry and response for varied materials exported from U.S. to Korea from 2012 through
YTD with a favorable result of $4 million in relationship Celanese and Korea
• Manage identification of preferential treatment of imported materials as it pertains to FTA’s and GSP to reduce or
remove duty where applicable
• Implemented global optimization strategy for savings tied to recovery and avoidance programs
• Built duty analysis process and tools to track origin to destination duty and tax landscape for customer opportunity and
landed cost calculations
• Prepare requests for inquiries for all free trade agreements according to government requirements

Supply Chain Security
Developed, facilitated, and drove audits and global oversight controls that validated compliance of countries from and to which
company imported and exported for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.
• Oversee the application and maintenance of the company’s supply chain security program
• Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT lead for sustaining validation for Celanese
• Spearheading the initiative to prepare all company owned plants for security assessments
• Identify and repair gaps and improve understanding of process to broader company for seamless assessments
• Led C-TPAT validations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) yielding favorable results and re-validation
Export Management
• Oversight of Export declarations and self-filing with government
• Post transactional audits and reconciliation of updated shipment information
• Assign classifications (HTS, SchB, ECCN) and verify licensing requirements pre-departure
• Manage and interface with Company’s service providers and provide SLI’s for accurate declaration reporting
• Communicate Customs assigned Internal Transaction Number (ITN) to internal and external stakeholders
