WARWICK - The Fillmore Tribute
Concert Series will be returning to
beautiful Warwick, NY at Pennings
Farm Market on June 15, for it’s one
year anniversary show! The event will
be held from 2-7:30 P.M. on Penning’s
outdoor stage in the Beer Garden. Steve
Di Venuta, the founder of the series,
has had a long standing relationship
with Penning’s, playing shows there
with his Grateful Dead cover band,
Dead on the Tracks. Over time, Steve
realized a strong desire amongst fans to
hear more ageless classics like those
from different bands of that era. That is
when he decided to create the Fillmore
Tribute Concert Series.
The Fillmore Tribute Concert Series brings you, with commanding execution, performances in
tribute, to the shows hosted by Bill Graham in the late 60’s early 70’s. Each event features at least
four bands re-creating performances from the Fillmore East and West venues including acts
covering; The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Joni Mitchell, Hot Tuna, The
Jerry Garcia Band, NRPS, Cream, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Buddy Guy, Miles Davis, Janis
Joplin and many more. Currently venues include; Pennings Farm Market in Warwick, NY and
Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ with more being added in 2013!
Covering the sounds of this unique period in music history, are some of the most talented musicians
from the Northern New Jersey area. The bands have included; The Peach Project, Stone Flower,
Some Guys and a Broad, Joanne Lediger, Wood Hippie, Dead on the Tracks, Rust, Reflections,
Strange Brew, Retrofitz and WHAT I SAY! The list of captivating performers continues to grow,
bringing you the deeply diverse and revolutionary performances that rocked the stage of Bill
Graham’s Fillmore venues.
Bringing it all back home to perform the anniversary edition of the Fillmore Tribute Concert Series
will be; Peach Project (Allman Brothers), Some Guys and a Broad (Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane
and more), Dead on the Tracks (Grateful Dead), Retrofitz (Cream, Clapton and more), and Wood
Hippie (Hot Tuna).
