Building fast and easy-to-use NLP systems at IBM Research

I am a Research Staff Member in the Scalable Natural Language Processing (NLP) group at IBM Research-Almaden. My current research focuses on making NLP systems more transparent and easier to use, utilizing a range of techniques including data provenance, information integration and machine learning. I am a core member of SystemT, a declarative system for specifying NLP algorithms and executing them at scale. SystemT is commercialized as IBM BigInsights Text Analytics and it is currently being taught in multiple universities.
