In High School, Sam captained the
school’s Swim Team and was a star
pitcher and first baseman on the
baseball team. In his senior year, the
school’s newspaper named him the
school’s male athlete of the year.
In 2009, he traveled to the Dominican
Republic with the Boston Red Sox’
Lindos Sueños Program to build a
baseball field and coach at a local
orphanage. Sam was a counselor and
lifeguard at Camp Yavneh, and
coached softball and swimming.

Jacob Walker
Jacob attended Jewish Day School
his whole life, beginning with
Bialik Elementary School and
finishing with the Community
Hebrew Academy. He has played a
wide variety of sports since a
young age, ranging from lacrosse
to soccer, baseball to boxing.
However, after falling in love with
hockey at an early age, Jacob went
on to play a long career including
5 years at the top AAA level, along
with playing for his high school
team.
4. A graduate of the American
Hebrew Academy, in High
School she served as captain
of both the varsity basketball
and volleyball teams. While in
High School Adina coached
youth at volleyball clinics.
Adina is happiest when
playing sports, and takes pride
in her strong connection to
Israel.

Chava Dashevsky
Chava , a graduate of York
University in Toronto, worked as a
program coordinator for a
basketball program at the Miles
Nadal Jewish Community Center
and started a program called
"Basketball Academy". She has
her Level 1 NCCP Certification
from the University of Winnipeg
in Canada. While in Israel
Chava is volunteering her time at
an all girls' elementary school in
Rehavia, Jerusalem.
6. Daniel Chiat
Daniel graduated from the
University of Maryland in
2007. After his high
school basketball experience in
Minneapolis, MN, Daniel
extended his "formal" playing
days by joining the UMD
women's varsity practice squad.
Daniel coached the basketball
class for three years at Herzl
Camp in Wisconsin. Prior to
coming to Israel, Daniel taught
7th grade at Kol Shalom in
Rockville, MD.

7. Gavriel Remz
Home Town: Newton, Massachusetts
Gabi has participated in youth
basketball, soccer, and baseball
leagues, as both a player and a
coach. He captained JV soccer
and basketball teams at Gann
Academy. A leader from the very
start, Gabi captained the varsity
soccer and basketball teams at
Solomon Schechter of Greater
Boston. Gabi coached soccer at
the Jewish Community Day
School in Boston, and also was a
Little League umpire for his local
division.
8. Judah Batist
Judah has always had a passion
for sports and played hockey,
basketball, rugby, and football
competitively, and represented
Canada in the Maccabiah
games last summer. Judah
looks forward to bringing the
skills he gains through the
fellowship back to Camp
Ramah in Canada. He
attributes who he is today to
the many coaches he has had
over the years.

Meagan is pursuing a career in
sports management. Growing up
she played organized sports in
youth leagues. She is currently
interning for Bnei Hasharon
Basketball Club. Meagan served
as the Vice President of her USY
Chapter in 2001, and was head
of Mountain Biking at Camp
Tamarack in Ontario for two
years. Meagan is a certified
Tennis Coach and Snowboard
instructor in Canada .
