introduced the Accelerated Reading Programto promote the lifelongloveof readingand comprehension. I was
mentored by Sister Sally Daly,Sisters of St. Joseph, and the School Librarian fromSt. Tim’s Catholic School in North
East Philadelphia. Istarted the Reading Olympics Program in Philadelphia. I was elected to the Southeastern
Pennsylvania School Book Review Committee that brought new books to the school each year. I was active in the
American Library Association and the Catholic Library Association from1998 till 2009.
