Fantastic Holiday at Yogyakarta
Last week, I went to Yogyakarta with my
family. My father drove the car. My mother sat

We woke up early in the morning. My father
prepared the car in the garage while mother was
preparing food for breakfast and some snacks for
us. My sister and I packed some clothes. After
everything got ready and we had our breakfast,

Jasmine is an evergreen semi-vining shrub native
to tropical areas of Southeast Asia, Africa and
Australia. The plants are usually up to 3 meters
high and 2 meters wide.

star-shaped flowers. The Jasmine flower releases
its fragrance at night after the sun has set and

Castle is a site of a former royal garden of the
Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It is located about two
km South within the grounds of the Kraton

Bakuh. Every time he wanted to eat, he always looked
for the animals. He ate almost all kinds of animals.
And of course, the animals did not live peacefully.
They were scared of Bakuh that would eat them.
Slowly, the numbers of animals were
decreasing. And finally there was no animal left in the
jungle. Bakuh started to go to the villages. He wanted
to eat humans!
The gods and the goddess in the heaven were
angry. They wanted to punish Bakuh. Therefore they
sent one beautiful goddess. Her name was Retna
Lestari.
Bakuh was in love once he saw Retna and he
proposed her.
"l'll do anything for you, Retna. Will you marry
me?"
"Anything? OK. I’ll marry you if you can help me
to get the red cloud when the sun sets. But I don't want
you to get it for me. I don't want your sharp nails to
tear the clouds." She replied.
" So, what do I have to do?" Bakuh asked.
Retna asked the giant to lie down with his face
downward, then she stood on his back to reach the
clouds. She told Bakuh that she needed some stones
to stand on so that she could reach the clouds. Since
Bakuh was in love, he just agreed.
Retna immediately put some stones. With her
power as a goddess, she could put many stones on
his back easily.
Slowly, all Bakuh's body was covered by stones.
Retna Lestari put two very big stones, one on his head
and one on his feet. Bakuh could not breathe. He
wanted to stand up but he could not do it. He then
realized that Retna Lestari already tricked him. He just
yelled and screamed!
