Consortium provides the expertise to ensure the success of that future.

the Small Business Consortium. The group was formed in 1988 by the
Greensboro Chamber of Commerce as a means to consolidate and
coordinate services to the small business community by promoting small
business referrals and joint sponsorship of educational and informational

The Elon Law Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic (“SBEC”) provides free legal
services of various types to eligible clients including general legal counseling, choice of

compliance, contract review and drafting, employment and H.R. advising, regulatory

The Forge provides the community with inexpensive access
to a workshop area and a collaborative space. The workshop

North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is a collaborative effort
between NC business & industry and the NC Community College System.
The Military Business Center leverages the presence of the military in North

Entrepreneurship (NCFE)
The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc. is a private non-
profit corporation whose mission is to enhance economic
development in Greensboro and the surrounding area. To
accomplish this, the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship
operates a business incubator located near the center of
Greensboro. The incubator is designed to support non-retail, new or
emerging businesses in the service and light manufacturing arena.

UNCG and N.C. A&T have created this office to increase the visibility
and accessibility of university entrepreneurship, innovation and
engagement initiatives and provide better connectivity to a broad array
university resources in Greensboro and throughout the UNC system.
The office will be operated by a rotating team of existing staff from
UNCG’s Office of Innovation Commercialization, UNCG’s NC
Entrepreneurship Center, and N.C. A&T’s Office of Outreach and
Economic Development, who will provide regular office hours
accessible to HQ Greensboro members and visitors. To provide easier
access, many university events that are open to the general public will
be held in HQ Greensboro’s event space instead of on campuses.
