The document summarizes two studies on translanguaging and code-switching in English classrooms. The first study investigated English department students' attitudes towards and practices of translanguaging in a Language Assessment course. It found that students engaged in translanguaging activities targeting both cognitive functions and creative language practice, demonstrating favorable attitudes. The second study examined teachers' perceptions of code-switching and its effects on transferring cross-cultural understanding. It identified types of code-switching and factors influencing its use, and found that code-switching positively impacts cultural understanding and student comprehension.
