Over the last few years INDIA has experienced an extensive growth in
foreign trades, business agreement, international alliance, economic
growth and commercialisation. INDIA has fought tremendously when
speaking to external issues, but when it comes meeting the demands of
common people i.e. basic utility(such as food, education, clothes),it has
not met yet.
With rapid urbanization and incessant population growth the demands
of these utilities is only going to grow. How long our country is going to
sustain pressure from other parts of the world when it has not build its
internal infrastructure strong.
In this alarming time we need to have a serious check on our utilities,
especially Food, Education, Clothes and Vocational Courses to enhance
their chance of employability.
INTRODUCTION
Optimizing food supply to needy people Providing Education to Students
Giving cloths to poor people Vocational Training given to poor people
A daily life example of FOOD WASTE
Don’t you think time has come to put a full stop to these activities?
How many have to suffer just because of our ignorance?
The Next Foodie Trend is going to be EATING GARBAGE
❏ 870 million people(12.5% of the global population) were undernourished from
2010 to 2012
❏ 2 billion individuals are now facing one or more micronutrients deficiencies
❏ According to Survey of BHOOK (an organisation working against hungry and
malnutrition in 2013, 20 crore Indians sleep hungry at night.
❏ Around 2 billion people can be given food with the amount of waste US
generate each year.
Extract data from the EPA National Waste Characterization studies
A word with Welfare Agencies
Our Agenda
❏ Collecting food from different households,restaurants,wedding hall,community
gatherings.
❏ Segregating the dry food materials (which will further be used for
consumption to poor people) from wet food materials(which can be processed
further to make fertilizers and gas).
❏ Reaching out to Helpage Organisation,Orphanage Center, Slum Areas, needy
people and providing them with food.
❏ We will have testimonials of people who get food help from us and serve this
as a feedback to the concerning donors.
❏ Wet wastes can be used significantly used either to outsource to companies
which deals with its manufacturing in different implementation or can be
processed at home with skilled labours.
❏ This will led to some economic growth and minimize the solid waste
concentration in our society.
WHEN LIFE STRIKES YOU DOWN
“If I go to work today, it’s just so i
can eat tomorrow. How can i save
for another day? What if i get
sick?
Because of not having money I lost
my big sister and three of my
brothers. They died before my
eyes, why? They were sick and
needed care. The hospital we
went was too expensive . They
were given little treatment and
sent home right away.
I know God has created human
beings that will have their deaths
too, but the cause of my family
member’s death was my POOR
SITUATION.”
“The following
case study has
been taken
from: Human
The Movie”
❏ There is an astounding increase in food waste which needs to be optimized and
given to those who starved of it.
❏ Most of the times people want to help poor people but due to lack of some sort of
platform they drop their idea.
❏ Many of the NGOs have lost their credibility to middle class and upper middle class
people, who are a major contributor to our society.
❏ When they donate to some charity or organisation they are often skeptical about the
result what their contribution would bring into?
❏ Food waste plays a significant role in Solid Waste, It’s management needs to be
checked.
Why my idea has a compelling need
❏ 100 millions children have no access to school infrastructure.
❏ More than ½ of the world low literate population reside in west and south
Asia.
❏ 16 percent of world’s population are non-literate and out of those low literacy
rate two-thirds are women.
➢The UNESCO report in Jan
2014 was that India's
illiterate population is
largest in the world.
➢We have a lot of books
that we never going to
read again .
➢Books once used up is
given to the thrift store
rather than it should be
donated to poor child.
We were once the hub of most renowned scholars , educationist,
Universities in the world and now we have the most number of
illiterates in our country. What has led to this transition? Are we
going to see just as it is going or do something about it?
Life Inspiring Motivation
"When I learned to read,
I was finally free."
At age 35, John Zickefoose was
unable to read his children's report
cards.
Today, he's a school board member
and founder of a local nonprofit.
❏ Government talk about MAKE IN INDIA ,
Foreign trades, Off-boundary
relationships, are all this possible without
educating our current generation?
❏ How far is our Education Authority
successful reaching the rural areas?
❏ Is it not right that Education is only
limited to those who have money to put
into it?
❏ What about those children who do not
money to spend in education? How are
they going to survive in this tough world?
❏ What is the future of a country where
most of its citizens are deprived of even
primary schooling? Will this not affect
country’s economy.
Our Agenda on Educational Inequality
❏ To provide every child access to books and teaching classes who can’t afford school fees.
❏ To contact every possible individuals who is willing to donate his/her time to teach.
❏ Providing platform so that student should efficiently learn and teacher time should be properly
organised.
❏ Supply of books is monitored either by donation through different channels or acquiring books from
used book store once and those books will be circulated to the next upcoming class when current
session is over.
❏ Organizing extracurricular activities like speech competition, attending seminar where they can
actually see what is out there for them to explore, extempore and so on.
Frequently Asked Question
Q. Who are going to be teachers? What is their qualification?
● Teachers are mainly students who are pursuing their undergraduate course. Experts will also be made
available if there seems a need for it.
Q. How platform is provided? what measures are taken to provide extracurricular activity/
● Platform is provided either by locating some free space near to the children house or if someone is willing to
give his space voluntarily. Extra effort is laid to provide extracurricular activities. It will be carried out in an
open area and in front of mass in order to reduce child’s fear of public speaking.
What will happen if there are No Cloths or bare cloths to put on
❏ Due to urbanization many people has moved from villages to cities. Which has
resulted into less cash in hands of poor people. They have to make a decision
either to feed themselves or buy accessories. What choice would anyone
take?
❏ There is no any organization who actively participate on this issue.
❏ People with no cloths on get exposed to many diseases easily, which is mostly
communicable in nature. Thus our society experience a serious health issues.
➢They don’t have
required cloths for
summer season ,
rainy & winter.
➢ Many of the poor people lose their life due
to cold in winter season due to lack of
availability of their cloth.
Frequently Asked Question
❏ How and from where do you get cloths surplus to donate?
● Cloths surplus is managed either by requesting people who have some unused clothes or getting to local
manufacturing and urge them to build cheaper cloths without compromising quality.
❏ How the distribution of clothes will carry out?
● Once we collect the clothes from donors, then sorting will follow. Now our delivery staff will reach out to
poor people and provide them with clothes.
❏ Can we get a innovative business model out of it?
● Of Course, when you have a number of beneficiary people behind you, it means you have a customer zone
behind you. What we have to do is supply these people with cheap and better quality clothes. You can either
outsource it to concerned authority or setup some trained people to work in your very region and be a
supplier rather than a consumer.
My Agenda
❏ Collect clothes from different households, public gathering, concerned authority
❏ Arrange them out and get it ready to reach to destination.
❏ Distribute among people, record some testimonials and give it as a feedback to donor.
Vocational Training
❏ Time has gone when in rural areas only few people knew how to write and read.In today’s era many literate
people also live in villages.
❏ Nowadays many emphasis is given on skill development. In this technology age only skilled people know
how to survive the competition.
❏ Sewing machine training, solar energy training hydroponic plant cultivation is a result of extensive vocational
training.
Why Vocational Training is Essential
❏ We know that in today’s world only our course subject
knowledge won’t land us into job. That’s where Skill
Development practises come into play.
❏ In rural areas where we have people who are eligible for job
but couldn’t land job due to obvious reason see skill
development/vocational training as an opportunity.
❏ Skill Training solely requires willingness to spend time, basic
eligibility and consistency, Which rural people can easily
managed.
❏ It also results in enrichment of one’s knowledge and able to
grasp it efficiently because experts explain everything and
consequently does it practically and fix the errors at the spot.
KOLKATA: The George Telegraph Training Institute (GTTI) tied up with Srei Sahaj for the vocational training of
rural youth in order to make them suitably equipped for bagging a job in todays market.
The programme is set to commence by December end or early January. Through the programme courses like
electronic and telecommunication engineering, computer hardware engineering, mobile and telephone technician,
audio video engineering and other similar vocational courses will be imparted with the help of e classes.
According to the association, best learning service will be provided and quality will not be compromised in any
sector. Also, to make it easier for the youths of rural areas, the learning will be provided in local languages.
According to the association, Srei Sahaj will conduct an independent and unbiased online examination of the
students to enhance the value of the programmes by the GTTI. A joint certificate by Sahaj and the GTTI will also
be issued on the successful completion of the examination.
They also plan to introduce other vocational courses like web designing, skill development programme and
speaking English courses so that the rural youth are able to make a place for themselves in society.

  • 14. What will happen if there are No Cloths or bare cloths to put on ❏ Due to urbanization many people has moved from villages to cities. Which has resulted into less cash in hands of poor people. They have to make a decision either to feed themselves or buy accessories. What choice would anyone take? ❏ There is no any organization who actively participate on this issue. ❏ People with no cloths on get exposed to many diseases easily, which is mostly communicable in nature. Thus our society experience a serious health issues.
  • 15. ➢They don’t have required cloths for summer season , rainy & winter. ➢ Many of the poor people lose their life due to cold in winter season due to lack of availability of their cloth.
  • 16. Frequently Asked Question ❏ How and from where do you get cloths surplus to donate? ● Cloths surplus is managed either by requesting people who have some unused clothes or getting to local manufacturing and urge them to build cheaper cloths without compromising quality. ❏ How the distribution of clothes will carry out? ● Once we collect the clothes from donors, then sorting will follow. Now our delivery staff will reach out to poor people and provide them with clothes. ❏ Can we get a innovative business model out of it? ● Of Course, when you have a number of beneficiary people behind you, it means you have a customer zone behind you. What we have to do is supply these people with cheap and better quality clothes. You can either outsource it to concerned authority or setup some trained people to work in your very region and be a supplier rather than a consumer. My Agenda ❏ Collect clothes from different households, public gathering, concerned authority ❏ Arrange them out and get it ready to reach to destination. ❏ Distribute among people, record some testimonials and give it as a feedback to donor.
