2. The Hackers |versus| The Rejoinders
The core concept in any intellectual debate is the
presentation of a legitimate argument. Subsequently,
exhibition of one's resources is the crux of debate
engagement. A participant in a debate without proof of
his thesis is left with nothing more significant than a
statement that does not merit critical analysis. The
Rejoinders, while perhaps having a valid point, left
nothing in terms of reference to form a correlation
between their statement and concrete evidence. The
Hackers displayed research results supporting their
thesis statement; Technological advancements in the
classroom promote literacy. It is the consensus of The
Adjudicators that The Hackers was superior in the
presentation of their argument.
