North Carolina
Principal Mechanical Engineer:
Lead continual improvement to mechanical development process. Coordinate system level testing
and validation efforts. Facilitate design reviews. Assist in document control and maintenance of
design history file. Implement procedures, training records, and continual improvement.
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in the mechanical design and
development.Project leadership skills and demonstrated experience in hands-on management of
project teams. Experience in mechanism design.Experience in design for manufacturing of precision
injected molded and machined components.Experience with electromechanical systems.
Experience with vision and optical systems a plus
North Carolina
Sr. Mechanical Engineer: Lead the mechanical/optomechanical design aspects of product
development projects including detailed design and documentation
Administrate revision control for all design documentation
Interface with contractors for development of outsourced assemblies as required
Support manufacturing including the design of tools and fixtures
Oversight of supplier selection for plastic, machined, and sheet metal parts
Assembly and modification of prototypes including first article inspection
5 years of relevant design experience with at least 2 years in the design of optical assemblies
Medical Device experience and SolidWorks preferred
Arizona
Mechanical Engineering Manager: Manage a team of Optical and Mechanical engineers.
Understanding of optical design including diffractive optical elements for beam shaping,
homogenization and general illumination.Experience with imaging and illumination designs that
support high volume consumer electronics products.Experience with product design and
development.Understanding of Opto-Mechanical Design & Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing to ASME Y14.5.Experience designing illumination systems for HID, LED & Laser
light sources.Knowledge of polarization control.Working knowledge of component, assembly and
system level testing. Experience with product test design and development.

Thin Film Manager:10+ years experience in manufacturing with thin film coatings, best would be
e-beam evaporation, ion beam sputtering, and MOCVD. Optical coatings experience is required.
Mirrors, anti reflective coatings, index matching, etc. Laser and display experience is preferred.
2. 10+ years experience managing technical personnel (engineers, scientists), preferably in a
manufacturing environment. Must be very hands on and comfortable working in the clean
room.Experience expanding or growing an operation is desirable.

Liquid Crystal Scientist: PhD or industry experience related to Holography or Polymer Dispersed
Liquid Crystals.
Northeast
Sr. Optical Systems Engineer:Subject matter expert in lens measurement and metrology systems
from early innovation/concept development through implementation. Provide technical expertise
in establishing specifications, developing, debugging and qualifying Metrology Systems in support of
Lens Development. Provide project coordination and leadership of metrology systems
development. Support areas include: optical and mechanical metrology, lens manufacturing
processes and standards.
Southern California
Optical Manufacturing Engineer:Interfaces with optical design engineers to coordinate the
fabrication, procurement, assembly and test of optical components and assemblies.
Design and development of optical and opto-mechanical systems for new and existing products.
Development of Statements of Works and procurement specifications for external suppliers and
consultants for the development and manufacturing of optical components.Act as liaison with
coating and fabrication vendors. Designs tooling for optical fabrication, assembly and test.
Review and improvement of existing and new designs for manufacturability, testability, and
serviceability.Reviews all optical drawings to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance to
manufacturing requirements.Coordinates the generation of optical procedures, fabrication, assembly
and test.Analysis and modification of manufacturing processes and designs to improve quality and
reliability of products.
Massachusetts
Manager of Continuation Engineering (Operations):5+ years demonstrated success at
managing a continuation engineering or development engineering function on industrial, electronic
and electro-mechanical products for quality and cost improvement. Experience with optical devices
is desirable. Fact based and data driven decision maker bringing both technology and process
control expertise. Demonstrated success in managing a high performing organization of
professionals including engineers and technicians.
BS from a top engineering school in EE, ME or equivalent. M.S., Ph.D., or MBA preferred.
7+ years experience in relevant, high-tech, electronics and electro-mechanical products in volume
production. Preference for experience with industrial products and software.
Massachusetts
Opto-Mechanical Engineer: Demonstrated successful design of kinematic and dynamics for
optical-mechanical assemblies with precision mounting, adjustment, and switching of optical
elements over. Must be proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and engineering
documentation practices from ASME Y14.XX.Must have solid project management experience.
Must have experience with optical-based products, portable instruments and/or infrared technology.
3. Must have strong computer skills with a version of PC-based CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Must
have experience with application of finite element analysis (structural required, thermal desired) to
optimize design. Must have proven experience in casting design, structural analysis, tight tolerance
opto-mechanical design, plastics molding and coordinating vendor/tooling tasks. Must have
experience working with a multi disciplined team of engineers, i.e., mechanical, electrical, optical,
systems and software.
Functional knowledge of and experience using the following tools to validate design functionally and
system characterization is desirable: Optical aliment devices such as autocollimators visible and laser,
Interferometers to evaluate mechanical mounting affect of optical surfaces
Massachusetts
Principal Software Engineer:BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Masters degree
preferred. A minimum of 15 years of software engineering experience and a background in electrical
engineering preferred. Experience with taking concepts from inception to finish. Must have
experience with software for video processing including video scaling, focus algorithms, raster
conversions, color space conversions and histogram equalizations. Experience with video codecs
and video compression desired. Must be fluent in C++ language. Experience in developing
software for embedded systems using real time operating systems. Ability to debug complex
software/hardware systems.Exposure to DSP processors helpful.Must have experience working
with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers (mechanical, electrical, optical).
Massachusetts
Opto-Mechanical Engineer:5-10 years minimum experience in the design and Finite Element
Analysis (mechanical and thermal) of lasers and active electro-optical assemblies for defense and
aerospace environments. Multiple projects require creative design for optimization while achieving
operational stability in challenging environments. US Citizenship required.
Fiber Laser Engineer: work in the areas of fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers, and complex multi-spectral
active fiber architectures. Theoretical modeling as well as extensive laboratory experience should
cover fiber lasers, non-linear processes in fibers, modal propagation, and experience with high
power systems (up to 1 kW and above).
Fiber Coupler Engineer: work in the areas of fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers, and complex multi-
spectral active fiber architectures. Theoretical modeling as well as extensive laboratory experience
should cover fiber lasers, non-linear processes in fibers, modal propagation, and experience with
high power systems (up to 1 kW and above). Programs are diverse in requirements (spectrum,
material systems, and power levels). Ability to work self-directed and as part of a multi-disciplinary
team will be necessary. US Citizenship required.
Midwest
Sr. Optical Engineer:Minimum 7 years; experience with BS, 5 years with MS, or proven
performance in designing optical instrumentation.
Demonstrated knowledge and creative abilities in the design and specification of optical systems and
subsystems from the component level to the system level.
Demonstrated experience with, and a thorough understanding of, optical filtering including thin film
technologies.Demonstrated skills using optical modeling software tools such as ZEMAX
4. Sustained record of independent creative design activity and expertise with optical systems and
subsystems.Sustained record of product development and problem solving experience.
Midwest
Sr. Mechanical Engineer: Minimum of 5 years’ experience with BS, 3 years with MS, or proven
performance in mechanical design for electronic instrumentation is required
Demonstrated creativity and mechanical design abilities.Demonstrated engineering analysis
capabilities.3D CAD/drafting experience (GD&T experience desirable). Familiarity with electronics
packaging/enclosures design.Sustained record of independent creative design activity and expertise
with electronics packaging/enclosure techniques and mechanical testing (stress, vibration, thermal)
Sustained record of product development and problem solving experience to enable leading the
mechanical design team through the development process
