9:10AM – 9:50AM: eCommerce Plan and Strategy – Plan to Succeed
Speaker: John Debrincat, CEO, eCorner
eCommerce and online retail continue to grow rapidly and have become an essential channel to market for any business. In order to be successful
you need to plan and execute with the customer in mind.
• Mission – what is your business going to do?
• Strategy – how will you go about making the business a success?
• Technology – choose the technology to support the business
• Stakeholders – identify the partners that will help move the business forward
• Engagement – get moving then review and improve as you go
9.50AM – 10.30AM: Effectively Using your Resources
Speaker: John Debrincat, CEO, eCorner
You start a business to make a profit right? Well yes, you do, but it does not always come out that way. Being successful online means having a well
presented and managed storefront and being found. If you sell lots but don’t make a profit you will go out of business very quickly. So you need to
consider your budget and how you will develop a future proof business.
Key Takeaways:
• Costs of ecommerce enablement: look at and understand the total cost
• Pricing models and issues: set your prices with a profit in mind
• Marketing costs (traditional, SEO and SEM): getting the best bang for your buck
• Developing a budget and forward estimates: planning is boring but may save your business
• Exit strategy: how the hell do I get out of here?

If you’re running an online business, it’s essential to have a content strategy in place to effectively market your business. Comprised of three key

long-term brand assets for their online retail business.

Lunch will be served to paid Workshop attendees in the foyer area outside the Workshop room.
1.30PM – 2.10PM: Payments and Security
Speaker: Ric Henderson, Sales Director, SecurePay
Taking online payments can be the most confusing part of setting up an online store. You are dealing with sensitive payment information as well as

2.10PM – 2.50PM: Logistics and Operations
Speaker: Marc Gauci, Manager, eTailing Fulfilment, Australia Post
If you get the shipping wrong your online business can fail. Shipping and logistics in Australia is complex due to the size of the market and

Australian sites and their global competitors and will discuss hot issues from the results.
TRACK B: SME STRATEGY & TACTICS PARKSIDE G04
If your Customers Love you They Give you More Money
Speaker: Dominic Byrne, Digital Marketing Manager, Tyres4U and Daniel Wright, Web Projects Manager, Tyreright
Tyreright is an innovative challenger brand, being the first to bring a ‘click-to-fit’ online solution and fully functioning mobile commerce site to the
retail tyre market in Australia. The strategy that drives Tyreright to be more than just a tyre company is to be a technology company that specialises
in the supply and fitting of tyres with a philosophy that good web development is fundamentally the same as that behind good retail.
Together, Dominic and Daniel will share with you their vision for the near and distant future of retailing, based on technologies that already exist and
invite you to learn more about their success and how to make it easier for your customers to give you money.
Key Takeaways:
• A fragmented technological environment can be built into a beautiful mosaic with strong brand integration
• Understand that your goal is not to sell something, it’s to solve your customer’s problem
• Good retail is about the customer, good technology is about the user and that’s good news because they’re the same person
