Kitty Ussher is the Managing Director of Tooley Street Research.
An economist and former minister in the 2005-10 government, Kitty Ussher was the MP for Burnley and between 2007-09 held junior ministerial posts in the Treasury (twice) and the Department for Work and Pensions including as Economic Secretary to the Treasury in the early phase of the financial crisis. Her government experience also includes time as a special adviser in the (then) Department for Trade and Industry, working for Patricia Hewitt, and a councillor in the London Borough of Lambeth where she chaired the environment and the finance scrutiny committees.
