Formatand Style
Idea 1
I can’t exactly shoot my idea a particular way, since Idea 1 is an animation. I have, however,
considered different angles to match the moment and increase the emotion of the moment.
The part where Revy runs away to the Safe Space I plan to do a close up of her legs as she
rushes along, which will allow the audience to feel the urgency of the situation. And again,
to feel more urgency and fear in the moment, when Revy almost makes it to the Safe Space
and is stopped by the Shadow People, it’s in a first person perspective so we see what she
sees. This will make the scenes more effective and emotional.
Idea 2
I’m not entirely sure what way I would shoot my ideas for my backup plan either. I’m
thinking a lot more close-ups and faraway shots, again to help increase the drama and
emotions of certain scenes. In Introvert, a faraway establishing shot of Sarah hiding after her
fight with Wes would show how small and alone she is in comparison to the world around
her. A panning establishing shot in Experience, when Lisa is in NYC, will allow the audience
to see a lot of this new world which Lisa also sees, making the moment more intimate and
joyful as the audience also sees the bright lights, busy streets, and new location with her.
When Kitty gets angry in Growing Up, an extreme close-up on her hand as it clenches, will
make the moment more intense and further tell the audience how she’s feeling without her
needing to say anything, as well as increase the drama as the audience begins to realise
what it is that Kitty may be about to do.
Marketplace
Idea 1 and 2
I like to believe that all my ideas would do well in the market due to their themes. Mental
disorders, maturity, and introversion are things of which a lot of people may go through at
some point in their lives. These sorts of characteristics, mental disorders especially, are
things which people like to talk about a lot to raise awareness. This means that my ideas all

2. have the potential to make more of an impact if they get used as a means to raise
awareness of issues such as mental illness and the interpretation of introversion. I think Idea
1 has the potential to also have a sequel, perhaps looking at the other side of things:
perhaps it could be about Rosa, Revy’s girlfriend, and how she tries to support her loved one
and her mental disorder as much as she possibly can. This would show the effects of mental
disorders that aren’t usually addressed, that being how it can affect those who know
someone that’s suffering.
