1. Production Logo
JOKS had originally
had been inspired by
the beginning letters of
our names, J- Josh, O-
Oliver, K- Kirsty, S-
Shannon. This was
done so we could be
incorporated into the
logo as we have done
everything on this
thriller.
The colour of the production logo
was chosen because we
represent thrillers and they
usually involve danger and death
therefore we had connoted this
information with the colour red to
symbolise thrillers and the sinister
storyline yet to come.
We used roman
numerals to conduct
the year of when the
thriller opening was
released, and as the
year is in roman
numerals it is as if the
year is in code and
hidden which ironically
is the name of our
thriller opening.
The word “Productions” is upside
down as the thriller we’re trying to
portray isn’t natural and that it
requires extra thought.
The production is
in a shape of a
circle and
resembles an eye
which can
foreshadow that
our thriller is about
a stalker and that
there is a following
process within the
play
As a group we had decided that this Logo would best represent our thriller opening as from
our research it showed that bold and exciting production logos would entice the audience
more rather than a simple logo. Therefore we had used the colour red not only because it
matched the type of thriller opening we had created but (red connotes danger and death) it
was bold a bold colour choice making it very noticeable.
We also made sure that the name of the production was snappy and easy to remember
because if the audience member liked what they had watched it would help them find the
movies or openings that we have produced quicker. Therefore we had come up with the
name ‘JOKS’ not only because it meant that all of our first name initials were on it but it
gave that catchy sound that we were looking for in which it tempts the audience more.
Lastly we thought that by adding the year to the production logo gave it individuality
because from our research it didn’t show any logos that had a year on it, so we thought it
gave the logo a uniqueness. We also though that if we hypothetically made more thrillers
that the year would go on it which will help the audience that much more to find the specific
movie they were looking for.
