10. Youth & Sports
We have many youths from Kangema in
Nairobi
Most of our youths are in small
businesses and Jua kali sector
Our youths are facing many difficulties
which include:
Difficult in getting finance to expand
their business
Difficult in getting space to carry out
their business
11. Youth & Sports
We have to recognize the strength which
led our grand-fathers & our fathers to own
most of businesses in this part of town is
unity and investing together as a group
I will help in:
Bringing youths together to form self-
help groups and saccos
Sourcing for funds from Youth
fund, NGOs and donors
Bringing mentors to mentor youth in
business
12. Youth & Sports
The highest paid professionals are
sportsmen/women, musicians etc.
Talent for our gifted children stops when
they finish secondary school.
I will put in place an initiative to nature
talent
I will make sure we produce world-class
sports personalities & other professionals.
Alcohol abuse is one of the biggest challenge we are facing
I will address this problem by:
Economic empowerment
Working with the administration to ensure:
Mututho law is strictly adhered to in Kangema
Sub-standard and adulterated drinks are not sold in Kangema
Bring in experts to do youth counselling in regards to Alcohol & drug abuse
Initiate youth rehabilitation in partnership with NACADA for those addicted to
alcohol
14. Infrastructure & Health
Thanks to our late M.P. majority of the main roads in Kangema have been
tarmacked.
I intend to continue on the same line giving priority to roads to ensure the
remaining roads are tarmacked
I will put priority on security roads some of which do not have bridges. I
will ensure all security roads are accessible.
In the tea areas we have roads which are fixed using CESS money. I
intend to work with the leaders in the tea sector so that there can be
synergy between Tea Cess money, infrastructure and donors money
Tea Cess money, infrastructure and donors money: Create synergy to
permanently fix the roads
15. Infrastructure & Health
Resources for health are scarce, and the disease burden is high.
My main areas of focus will be:
Upgrade of Kangema Hospital to have an in-patient
Kangema Hospital to get an Ambulance
Ensure the health centers in the wards and villages are equipped and staffed
so as to bring the service closer to the people
We also need to work on health awareness
Majority of our people only visit the hospital when they are critically ill
and sometimes it is already too late
I will work with the health officers to create awareness
To ensure that our people visit hospitals on regular basis for check-up
and not only when they are sick
17. Security
The main causes of Insecurity include:
Youth Unemployment
Poverty
By addressing youth unemployment we shall significantly reduce crime
in Kangema

Together with the leaders we shall identify where more police stations
are required.

A plain old bulleted list can get boring, so use graphics to liven it up. An image that conveys what you’re saying in visual format (like this diagram) can reinforce your ideas in the audience’s mind.
I like to speak spontaneously, so I use PowerPoint as an outline to keep me on track. It’s best to keep your PowerPoint text brief, simply reinforcing key points you will talk about at more length. You can use this slide template to convey a series of steps or related points in a short format.

This slide template can show steps, stages or how various elements or factors combine to make one key result or goal. For instance, you could show how various departments in your business work together to make the sale, how key customer groups will all purchase your product, or how different funding sources will provide the total you need. This slide template also makes an excellent concluding slide for your presentation, enabling you to graphically sum up your key points into one final whole.
