2. Sebelum membuat penilaian terhadap
kecergasan fizikal individu, klasifikasi status
kesihatan dan gaya hidup individu tersebut
mestilah dilakukan.
Mesti mempunyai pengetahuan daripada
penilaian kesihatan dan kecergasan fizikal
individu untuk menjalankan percubaan
kecergasan fizikal.
Bab ini akan membincangkan komponen secara
menyeluruh penilaian kesihatan, termasuklah
faktor risiko profil koronari, soalan tentang sejarah
perubatan, penilaian gaya hidup dan persetujuan
pengetahuan.
3. Tujuan penilaian kesihatan adalah untuk ketahui
penyakit dan menilai klafikasi risiko penyakit
seseorang individu.
Untuk menilai status kesihatan individu, ketahui
melalui questionnaires dan data dari ujian dan analisis
klinikal.
Untuk pra-test kesihatan individu untuk ujian senaman
dan program penglibatan senaman, perlu:
1. memberikan Physical Activity
Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)
2. senaraikan tanda dan simpton penyakit
3. analisis profil risiko koronari
4. kelaskan risiko penyakit seseorang individu
yang akan buat penilaian.
4. Component Purpose
QUESTIONNAIRES/SCREENING FORMS
PAR-Q To determine client’s
readiness for physical
activity
Signs and symptoms To identify individuals
of disease and medical in need of medical
clearance referral and to obtain
evidence of physician
approval for exercise
testing and participation
Coronary risk factor To determine the number
analysis of CHD risk factors for
client
5. Disease risk To categorize clients
classification as low, moderate or
high risk
Medical history To review client’s past
and present personal
and family health
history, focusing on
conditions requiring
medical referral and
clearance
Lifestyle evaluation To obtain information
about the client’s living
habits
Informed consent To explain the purpose, risks,
and benefits of physical fitness tests
and to obtain your client’s consent
for participation in these tests
6. CLINICAL TESTS
Physical examination To detect signs and
symptoms of disease
Blood chemistry profile To determine if client
has normal values for
selected blood values;
values of blood choles-
terol are used in the
coronary risk factor
analysis
Blood pressure To determine if client’s
assessment is hypertensive; these
values are also used in
the coronary risk factors
analysis
7. 12-lead ECG To evaluate cardiac
function and detect
cardiac abnormalities
that are contrain-
dications to exercise
Graded exercise tests To assess functional
aerobic capacity and
to detect cardiac
abnormalities due to
exercise stress
Additional laboratory To provide a more in-depth
tests (e.g., angiograms, assessment of client’s
echocardiograms, health status, particularly
pulmonary tests) those with known disease
