بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لفرط ضغط الدم الرئوي ، يوم5 مايو ، يود تحالف الأمراض النادرة في المغرب ، برئاسة الدكتورة خديجة موسيار ، لفت الانتباه إلى الوضع الصعب للغاية للأشخاص الذين يعانون من هذا المشكل في المغرب. علما بان هذا المرض يتطور بسرعة كبيرة، ومتوسط بقاء هؤلاء المرضى على قيد الحياة هو في الواقع سنتين إلى ثلاث سنوات ، مع تباين كبير من بضعة أشهر إلى عدة سنوات حسب شدة الإصابة وحسب فعالية العلاجات وخاصة في ظل إمكانية الحصول عليها نظرا لكلفتها الفائقة. مرض فرط ضغط الدم الرئوي يتطابق مع ارتفاع كبير للضغط في الشرايين الرئوية وينجم عن ضيق هذه الأوعية، تنتج عنه صعوبة تدفق الدم عبر الرئتين. ومع تزايد الضغط، يجب على القلب خصوصا جانبه الأيمن أن يعمل بدرجة أكبر لضخ الدم عبر الرئتين، مما يؤدي في النهاية إلى ضعف عضلة القلب وفشلها. إذا لم يتم تشخيص المرض في الوقت المناسب تصبح الشرايين مسدودة بالكامل. People with Pulmonary Hypertension experience a range of symptoms that vary in intensity
depending on the severity of their condition. The most common symptoms are: shortness of
breath (dyspnoea) with no obvious cause following exertion or even at rest, excessive fatigue,
dizziness especially in climbing stairs or standing up, fainting (syncope), weakness upon
physical exertion, chest pain, especially during physical activity, palpitations, swollen legs and
ankles, cough, haemoptysis

Une espérance de vie très réduite pour les malades
A l’occasion de la journée mondiale de l'hypertension artérielle pulmonaire (HTAP), le 5 mai,
l’Alliance des Maladies Rares au Maroc (AMRM), présidée par le Dr Khadija Moussayer, veut
alerter sur la situation très difficile des personnes atteintes de ce mal au Maroc. Pathologie
à évolution très rapide, la survie moyenne de ces malades est en effet de deux à trois ans,
certains ne vivant que quelques mois et d'autres des années, selon la sévérité des atteintes,
l’effet des traitements et surtout l’accessibilité à ces derniers, souvent coûteux.
L’HTAP correspond à une forte élévation des pressions dans les artères pulmonaires. Elle est
provoquée par un rétrécissement.de ces vaisseaux qui force le cœur à travailler beaucoup plus
pour pomper le sang. Si la maladie n'est pas repérée à temps les artères se bouchent entièrement.
L’HTAP regroupe des maladies diverses. Les causes de sa forme la plus sévère restent
inexpliquées : c’est l’hypertension pulmonaire primitive (encore dénommée idiopathique).
L’HTAP peut être aussi une des conséquences de la prise de médicaments et surtout d'autres
pathologies (broncho-pneumopathie chronique obstructive, embolie pulmonaire, lupus,
sarcoïdose, sclérodermie…). Appelée alors HTAP secondaire (à une cause connue), elle peut
être mieux contrôlée grâce à un traitement spécifique à son origine.
L’Alliance des Maladies Rares au Maroc (AMRM)
En Europe, des associations de malades atteints de maladies rares et des malades dépourvus
d’association se sont unis depuis plusieurs années en « Alliances », telles la France avec l’Alliance
Maladies Rares ou la Suisse avec Proraris. En regroupant leurs forces, associations et patients
peuvent se concerter, parler d'une même voix et donner plus de poids à leurs recommandations,
leurs prises de position et leurs revendications à l’égard de leurs interlocuteurs et partenaires, que
ce soit les pouvoirs publics, les professionnels de santé, les systèmes d’assurances santé ou
encore l’industrie pharmaceutique. Le Maroc a suivi ces exemples avec la formation officielle d’une
Alliance Maladies Rares Maroc en 2017, à partir d’un regroupement d’associations.
