Types of Soil

2. • Sandy soil is brown. It has small amount of nutrients for
plant growth.
• Air and water flow through very easily.
• Coconut, cactus and tuber crop grow well in sandy soil.

3. • Clay soil is rich in humus but does not allow air and water
to flow through it easily.
• It sticks together well.
• Rice and water lily grow well in clay soil

4. • Loamy soil is the mixture of equal
amounts of clay and sand.
• Most plant grow well in loamy soil
because it allow air and water to flow
through it well and rich in nutrients for
plants.

5. • Soil can be used in many different ways; place for
animals to live, water storage, and making appliances.
