Re design warehouse to support stock overflow and segregate slow moving from transitional inventory to a satellite

Downer Rail
Position: NSW State Supply Chain Manager
To manage the continuous distribution & movement of up to $100 million worth of inventory (40k SKUs) between
nine (9) NSW warehouses and two back shops. To monitor and allocate tasks for the four NSW SC Managers while
providing complete risk assessments for all tasks.
Distribution and movement was completed at a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
identified failings in the supply chain process and recommended solutions which have been or are in the process of
being implemented,
Supply Chain Change Champion for Project Paragon initiative to setup demand planning to meet the Maintenance
planning requirements for Pacific National to improve on time repair turnaround times to ensure minimal pool holdings
while operating in a JIT environment.
Delivery in Full on Time (DIFOT) remained a constant 97 – 100% in the last 3 months through process improvements
such as setting up a daily DIFOT reporting with 360 closure from warehouse to purchasing to administration to
warehouse.
Managed Millennium trains support projects in Eveleigh for overhauls, prototype installations and new works with all
KPIs met as well overhaul projects across the Pacific National train network in NSW from Werris Creek to Bathurst
to Newport in Victoria.

Crocodile Gold (Australian Operations)
Position: Procurement and Contracts Manager
Manage logistics support as well as purchasing activities to CGAO’s mining operations (one underground, four
open pits and one large ball mill) in the Northern Territory while implementing inventory management (3700 SKUs)
processes and sourcing better product and service alternatives to reduce CGAO’s bottom line.
Saved CGAO approximately $1 060 000.00 in new / reviewed contracts in the first year.
Predicted extra $1 000 000 in cost saving for 2012 from two new supply contracts, however huge budget cuts
restricted turnover.
Implemented a cohesive logistic support network for the CGAO Mining operations covering up to 5 different
locations over an area of 830 square kms. Project managed installation of new fuel depots in 3 locations.
Managed Supply Chain support for all Mill shut downs and project works across the entire CGAO area of
operations.
Aug 2003 to Jan 2010
KJHC Enterprises Pty Ltd
Position: Operations Manager
Oversee and project manage the relocation of corporate businesses and factories throughout NSW and Australia
from quotation and job costing, logistics and procurement, contractor co-ordination, site access and job completion.
Managed a team of 80 employees (over multiple projects), scheduled work and allocated staff to maximise efficiency
and minimise downtime.
Designed and setup a warehouse in Padstow to manage and control project stock enabling tighter control of
resources, more efficient distribution, accountability to the customer and improved response times.
Completed an 18 floor relocation of Nortel Networks from Chatswood & Wollongong to Macquarie Park on time and
within budget.
Oversaw and project managed the successful relocation of hundreds of businesses, including Dorma, Westfield
Corporate, Coles, Leighton, UBS, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank from start to finish.
Successfully introduced and implemented a continuous process improvement methodology that replaced an ad hoc
and loose systems that gave the company structure which in turn provided better documentation, inventory, financial
and HR management.

Oversee and project manage the supply and distribution of a range of furniture and office storage solutions to
corporate clients for refurbishment, renovation and relocation projects. Manage the entire logistical operations in
major corporate relocations and ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
Successfully project managed the relocation of major blue chip corporations such as Lumley Insurance, MSD,
Pfizer, Resmed, ICAA and Tower (Australia). Obtaining repeat business for the quality of work conducted.
Developed and improved operational procedures to improve relocation efficiencies, minimise disruptions and
maximise project profitability and success.
Managed a 2500m2 warehouse consisting of Workstation assemblies and furniture parts from manufacturers such
as Herman Miller, USA, Co-design, and Planex. Over 3k SKUs and 1680 pallet spaces.
Implemented a new Inventory Management System (AIM) to support commercial fit outs, asset management
integrating CAD Drawings with stock holdings. Enabling accurate orders to be reserved through CAD Drawings
generated by designers, speeding up turnarounds in workstation rotation and providing visibility of stock to the
customer through on line access for their own planners.

Position: Logistics Manager
East Timor - Management and oversee the movement of all NZ logistics requirements between Darwin and East
Timor utilising air and sea freight. Supervisory and administrative responsibility for East Timor and Darwin Port and
Airport areas including operating procedures for port operations, dangerous goods (containerised, break bulk, cargo
work and bunker permits) and port communications. 1999 – 2000.
Trade Training School Instructor - Undertake and complete a range of Training Programs and classes for Trade
Trainees to ensure they are appropriately trained and proficient in Procurement and Logistics Operations and
Logistics Management. SAP Instructor undertaking and overseeing SAP Training and Instruction.
Warehouse Manager – managed Inventory to support Engineers equipment from heavy plant to highly sensitive
bomb disposal equipment. Following the same fundamentals of support as in the civilian system with Rotable
Management and MRP.
Completed civilian based Inventory Management and Supply Chain Management Training.
Successfully managed the logistics movement of all supplies between Darwin and East Timor for first Battalion
deployment since the Vietnam War and being nominated by peer group as the first choice to manage the forward
supply area in Darwin.

support to heavy transport and engineering equipment).
