5 min - T will divide the class into 4 groups and
then he writes the tittle: “Tell Tale Heart”
on the board and ask each group to
discuss what do they think the story is
about.
- Students are
given the chance
to use their
background
knowledge in
order to infer what
is the story about.
- This part of the
class will allow
students to
activate their
prior knowledge.
Plot
activity
20 min - T will show a short video of the “Tell Tale
Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe, but students
will watch only have and then in groups
they will come up with answers for the
following questions.
- 1) Why is the man mad?
- 2) What do you think happen to the
Oldman ?
- 3) What will the man do with the
Oldman’s eye?
- 4) How do you think the story ends?
- Then, students watch the rest of the
video and compare their answers with
the original story.
- Ss wil infer the
second half of the
story and the end
by using their
prior knowledge
and creativity
- This section of
the class will
enable Ss to test
their attention
span, and
creativity.
